I just randomly gained strabismus today mine is exotropia and I can't find any matching causes I don't have any matching symptoms but when I took photos of my self my left eye started going on an adventure
@Qwert-4960 Strabismus, especially exotropia, can sometimes appear due to sudden muscle imbalance, stress, or fatigue, but it’s important to consult an eye specialist for a proper diagnosis. Taking photos may have just highlighted it, but self-diagnosis isn't enough. Early medical intervention can help determine the underlying cause and prevent long-term issues.
@@MedicalCentric thanks, luckily my eyes are fine now ,I think it's because I've been laying on my chest for too long and was only using my dominant eye the entire time it lasted for a few days
I had strabismus. I had surgery when I was 10 and even though I have to wear glasses every day my eyes have not moved back. It’s been 9, almost 10 years.
@OliviaRehrig That’s great to hear that your surgery had lasting success and your eyes haven’t shifted back! Strabismus can be challenging, but it’s inspiring how far you’ve come. Glasses are just a small part of the journey-your resilience truly shines through! 😊✨
I did surgery for my eyes when I was little but when I started to grow my strabismus came back and in addition to that because of my premature birth I was born with disabilities that began to become worse at the age of teenagers like for example my left foot is deformed, I became a little hunchbacked. But I do not intend to do another chirurgie for my eyes, it not that I have no complex for my strabismus I hate my eyes I keep close one of my eyes when I don't wear glasses but I have to accept that it a in a way a part of me alongside my disability. Some people will may mock me but some others will love me it just a matter of perspective as many people has called me handsome while others call me ugly
I have strabismus when i see from one eye. I mean if i see from both the eye i feel normal but if i close my right eye i feel dizziness from left eye.. I can't focus and defocus object.. is this normal?
@darknlovli Strabismus, a condition where the eyes are misaligned, is typically caused by issues with eye muscles, nerves, or the brain's control over eye movement. While screen time itself doesn't directly cause strabismus, excessive use, especially without breaks, can strain the eyes, leading to temporary discomfort or other vision problems. It's important to maintain good eye health by taking regular breaks and seeing an eye specialist if concerns arise.
This is a great video, super informative, thanks a bunch!
@neuro_0e You're very welcome!
