I switched out the blocks with obsidian, left a gas at the bottom where the mobs go, got a charged creeper and now I can get mob heads. This design is awesome! Thanks JC.
NOTE: Put 2-Block walls between the trapdoor, that way creepers will always walk in the perfect center and will fall down

@@Alex-ud3nb you build 2 blocks on each side between the trap door (left/right) [make sure it doesn't block your way] so that the creeper always fall down the trapdoor (otherwise the creeper can dodge the trapdoor and end up not falling at all)

For people who are having troubles with the farm because of the trapdoor, make the creeper's trap 2x1 and put 2 trapdoors, then add an additional hopper, it really helped me
Tip: make creeper farm above the place where the creepers should go, so that the farm spawns creepers and the creepers fall into the right spot. This will become a dual farm as you get a bunch of gunpowder and music discs

Works beautifully, and it’s so satisfying watching the creepers get it handed to them!

You could even set up a little piston device and water stream so you could switch it from a disc farm to mob grinder

I found the creepers could usually cross the hole with the trap door ??? put a block of blue ice before it and that stopped :)

@@haramdihack wow this was 2 years ago but I remember what it was about. Getting a creeper to chase you, over a gap with a trap door on it, it should just fall into the gap. We found it didn't and somehow was crossing the gap. But if you make the last block before the gap an ice block with a trap door on it to creeper reliably falls into the gap.

Great tutorial, but just be careful as sometimes the creeper manages to walk across the gap (I made sure the trapdoor was on the right block) so I made the whole thing out of obsidian to prevent the creeper from destroying the farm should it explode before I tap it backwards into the hole. Also, on hard, zombies will break down the doors so make a fence around where the door is to prevent this. Otherwise a great and fun farm! Thanks x

Note: Use a button instead of a trap door for the hole the creeper falls in otherwise the creeper walks over top the trap door.

My tips for this trap?
1- Make the creeper trap 2x1 and have 2 trap doors. For some reason, half my creepers just walk over the 1 trap door. Have an extra hopper and you're set. Adjust the rest of the trap so it's 1 block longer, skeleton can still shoot you.
2- Make a guard rail so creepers don't walk off the walk way
3- Skip the first 2 steps and just make a creeper farm on top
4- Make a full 3 x 3 enclosure for the skeleton instead of a cross shape. When angered, zombies can hit through the small crack in the corner killing the skeleton, with a 3x3 enclosure they can't.

Very conveniently I tried this out on the one update where they had some glitch where the discs wouldn't drop from skeleton kills. Thankfully just yesterday a new hotfix update was dropped which fixed the glitch, can confirm that this works as of hotfix version 1.17.32
I never knew it was possible to farm discs! I will so try it next time... Thank you for your wisdom once again!

P.s. make the drop chamber in the creeper farm a couple blocks lower than make this thing (it's really easy)
i love your videos because they’re really efficient and short to build, and you’re voice is so chill. you also get right to the point :)
It’s also worth noting that you can add this build onto any preexisting creeper farm build so you don’t have to lure them one by one. I personally use a magma block/hopper minecart for my kill and collection system, but if you put a sticky piston on the magma block, with another one across from it, you can easily change the magma block to a stone block via lever, and the creeper should be on half a heart.
I recommend using the lever to keep the magma block as an option, because it gives you the option of farming music discs when you want without clogging up your gunpowder farm when you don’t need them any longer.

Again another super useful farm, thank you, I got a disc yesterday and went to put in the jukebox but it didn't play so I went to right click it out but it wasn't in it, so I broke the jukebox and still no disc, I don't know how but it ate the disc and didn't give it back to me. Never seen that glitch before but I was really in need of more music so thank you.

Thanks JC! I actually just updated my creeper farm to have a little tunnel on each side of the trident killer. I just locked a skeleton in one and threw a trap door on the other. Now when I want music disks, I just flick the trident killer off, wait for a few creepers to pile up and open the trap door. I made the mistake of wearing thorns armor and accidentally got my first skeleton killed lol.

I use the wither killer under the end island portal. I dig down two blocks below where the wither will be and use eggs to fill it with chickens. Then I hit them with a potion of weakness. Then summon the wither. I get between 48 and 64 wither roses every time.
His wither farm outputs a couple withered roses every time, to get even more just put a cat or some other animal to get more

Tip: connect the creeper chamber to a creeper farm and you can get music discs all the time. Takes time to build but really efficient. :)

If anyone is having problems with the creepers not falling into the chamber simply knock out the block behind it and put another trap door. make sure you do it over the glass area so the creepers dont blow up on you. Having a 2x1 trap door area solved the problem for me.

I think having a skeleton in a boat with a name and roof and a boat ready for creepers is easier

If u have a skeleton in a boat and a boat in front of the Skeleton ready to lure a creeper to then when the creepers in the boat u stand infront of the creeper but not too close and the skeleton will shoot it

I decide to make this in a x4 format with 4 of them and you standing in the center. Above it I built a creeper farm split into 4 drops tubes for the 4 skeleton archers. I also placed a sticky piston with levers to close off the skeletons and 4 trapdoor trident killers so that I could switch it over to an average gunpowder farm when needed. All in all pretty compact and I can't wait to start putting jukeboxes hooked to skulk sensors all over the world
