    It has been awhile, but I hope you find this worth the wait! If you’ve never made a button up shirt before, you’ll be ready to tackle some of the trickier elements of sewing a shirt like sleeve plackets and the burrito method and grow your sewing skills. :)

    Thank you! A hint: get a can of temporary adhesive spray (used by machine embroiderers), spray the wrong side of the pocket. It will stick but once ironed, the adhesive properties disappear.

    Your method for attaching cuffs from the wrong side works so much better than the instructions in the pattern. Thank you! First really good cuff I have sewn.

    The video was very helpful and sweet but I found the yoke part sewing it to the front part a little bit tricky! I eventually got it right after one failed attempt tho

    Thank you, for the tutorial. I thought I was doing my plackets wrong for this shirt but they did all turn out ok with just folding over. It was hard to see the wrong side on your fabric choice.

      You're very welcome, and thank you for your feedback! I'm sorry that it was difficult to see the right and wrong side of the fabric in the video! While using a quilting weight cotton fabric might have made it easier to demonstrate the right and wrong sides in the video, I wanted to use this beautiful brushed cotton for my dad's shirt.

    Love your videos! It's sometimes hard to follow along when both the right and wrong side of the fabric look the same. This plaid fabric has a tendency to look the same from each side.

      I make an effort to steer clear of fabrics that might confuse the audience, but I do have a preference for working with yarn-dyed fabrics when creating garments. Unfortunately, this means that occasionally there might be some confusion. I apologize for any inconvenience caused, but I find this fabric particularly appealing and couldn’t resist using it.

      Ensure the stay stitch remains within your main stitches. Sew with a seam allowance of less than 3/8".

    I was running through the internet to find just information on the cuffs and that was FAST there was no way to cuff up to what you were pointing to or what you were saying and I love your content! but that made things so confusing I just thought to say!
