So happy I found your channel, Ben. Even with such in-depth film breakdowns, your delivery and style is really relaxed, inviting, and a little bit informal in the best possible way. Really excellent stuff, keep up the great work!
dont think ive ever believed in players more than I do the thompson twins, cannot wait for ausar to come back to an already pretty decent defense with the pistons.
You mentioned that Amen would be an all star this year and got a little pushback, but if Ime played him 32 mpg, he would probably average 20 and 12 while playing elite defense and playing on a playoff team. so, you might just be a little early. amazing he's playing this well despite being a little raw.
i mean, amen's still coming off the bench. in terms of reliability, how replacable they are if they got injured and playing against the best players and getting game planned against, i'd put it as 1. sengun 2. fred / tari 4. amen/jalen/db. fred sucked to begin but picked it up and i don't think amen and jalen and reed as our starting PGs would hold up well against top teams
I believe, in Due time, the Rocket's will wind up taking over the top spot in basketball. Too much talent. Great coaching. Top flight positional talent on that team
Like your breakdown clear and detailed, and your voice is just delightful lol Amen is just a monster on D and he could control the ball like a pro, if he could get his 3 point shoots better, he is going to be a real beast
I rolled my eyes when Portland selected Scoot over him. Like everyone I was higher on Scoot back then than I am now, but I thought Amen was one of the most amazing prospects I'd ever seen and was a little broken-hearted when they passed on him. How do you think Amen would look on Portland with Toumani and Shaedon?
I think he’d have to be more on ball but I don’t think he’d be actualized as such an offensive rebounding and offball threat there, he’d probably be a lot less efficient cuz the screener in Ayton wouldn’t get amen a lot of separation from his defender. It’s hard to tell honestly but I kinda think he’d be worse
@@Ab20-k2e They have Clingan going forward. Ayton isn't part of the long term plans. I always thought Anfernee Simons would benefit playing alongside a guy like Amen more than anybody. Toumani is a similar defensive player but he cannot breakdown a defense off the dribble like Amen and isn't the passer. Ant has struggled next to Toumani so far. I just think he'd be better with Amen long term. Now there probably isn't a long term with both Ant and Scoot. I just think a backcourt of Amen, Toumani, Shaedon, and Simons would be a great blend of skills. Combine that with Clingan and it would be amazing defensive potential.
@ I know for the long term clingan and such are valuable but I’m simply talking about up to this point Ayton would’ve been the center he’s played with which probably would’ve hurt him last year in terms of efficiency
@@Ab20-k2e I get that, I just think of Amen as a long term project considering his age. I think long term going forward he would develop just fine playing alongside guys like Shaedon, Anfernee, and Toumani. Offensively, I think Clingan would be great with Amen. Ayton isn't really good for anybody's development, that much is true.
@ I agree I don’t think he’d be necessarily worse off long term I was just talking about up to this point. But really there’s not telling, if he was on a team where he was a more of a ball handler then maybe he wouldn’t have been a committed elite defender and instead just a freak athlete that has potential to be an elite defender like wiggins in Minnesota or kuminga on the warriors, but I doubt that would it be that extreme but who knows I’m just having fun watching him on the rockets tbh the potential is mind boggling.
The things this guy does that doesnt show on a stat sheet but trust me ALL coaches and players or fans that truly understand this game ... Understand hes something the league has never seen .. and hes like 50% from 3.... He needs the green light to shoot when hes open... THEY ALL miss. Look at last nights game loss to the bucks .. he had to be inbounding instead of fred... Fred had to chuck it up because hes so small. Thompson wouldve made that pass easy .. just simply due to size... Hes unstoppable going to rim. Either you let him slam it or faul ...
@@KnowBallsPODCAST I’m not trying to be an ass but your name is “KnowsBallPODCAST” and your best means of comparison is simply size and feel? That’s it? It’s like those old Mike Korzemba meme’s calling Lonzo Ball a taller, more athletic Steph Curry.
@@pristinedecision1877 Size and feel for the game were magics biggest strengths which are highlighted in this video. Amen does have a slightly different skillset but he does have a top 5 in the league celling.
I've also been big on Amen Thompson his Defensive & Offensive IQ is amazing!
If he can be more Giannis and less Ben Simmons with his jumper, the sky really is the limit for him. That baseline pass to steady Freddy was siiiiick.
Ben Simmons want shoot, Amen shoots, and his shot is getting better.
You've been carrying the NBA season, so far
Athleticism plus skill, iq, and effort goes a long way.

If that jumper keeps improving, he can be the best PG of all time.

Sooo Rockets have "Baby Jokic" Sengun and "Baby Giannis" Amen... Cant wait to see them on 2 years if they continue like that!

It don't matter how good Amen is, Udoka is giving Dillon Brooks & Jalen Green all the run they can handle, and those boys are TRASH!
Bro Houston is the new OKC they bet not split the team up
when are we gonna start getting prospect videos?
for 2025 draft? prob not so often but i can mix them in
He’s gen z magic Johnson. The day that him and Tari get to start will make my day
