I know AD left the last part of the 3rd quarter but you have any insight on how they slowed him down in the 3rd quarter he played? I believe the Rockets started playing double bigs to slow em down but want to get your opinion and see if there's any other team that could replicate a double big (or whatever they did to slow him down) line up. Injury issues aside (which I feel is overblown), AD is a better fit on this team than Luka was. Can't wait to see them fully healthy.

He can still a high level player that can do a lot of what Luka brings to the table in the playoffs (less stats higher efficiency) and in a series vs the Celtics he can still body up Tatum and brown on a given possession especially in the context of the finals With the cba the state of the teams in the west is in decline so there is a massive window I don’t think he passes up AD/Kyrie//Lebron w/ pj Washington and the bigs on the Dallas roster would be quite formidable Also I don’t think it’s an accident that Klay signed with Dallas after talking with the Lakers and Lebron over the offseason. Kyrie was always the perfect third fiddle they just couldn’t convince him to come to LA for reasons… The lakers current roster with Luka and Lebron is fun and they will try to outscore opponents and even in the playoffs they can upset some teams depending on the matchup. But it is not a title winning roster. Playoffs is largely about matchups. The 4-1 series Denver last season was a lot closer than it looks on paper. Lebron/AD were exceptional but it just wasn’t enough. Denver was able to outscore them. D’Angelo Russell was a huge liability. AD/Lebron are still formidable. And I don’t think Kyrie is better than Lebron still It doesn’t make sense for them to talk about championships unless someone else is joining

I would watch the hornets game in 2023 vs the Celtics. You can see with just effort and attention it’s significantly better. Lots of things to clean up but he just needs to be in a competitive environment to get coached up and get experience. Defense is largely want an effort and over time your anticipation and positioning gets better and better. Playing on a losing team with youngsters they just don’t compete on most nights, combined with/ the missed time due to injury he’s not very far in his NBA journey

you should check out his Duke tape. Context and culture matter. Can't pass? he's throwing no look dimes from the interior. Lack of defense? He looked like Wilt. Yes the competition is different but it was immediately noticeable that his basketball IQ at Duke was 100x higher than now so one has to ask why is that.

hip mobility and general agility will need to improve for him to make a physical leap. Hopefully he can stay healthy and improve in the offseason

I still like us trading for Mark Williams but people in the fanbase should not be hoping now trading for him saves our defense. I think he can get better in time especially now being in a more winning environment but his limitations are clear right now and still need to be improved which will take time
