That’s really suck of how Smash Ultimate treated with Echo Fighters, it was cool idea to have alternate characters for already existing characters. The problem is that they never go all the away with the idea. If they ever do a Smash Bros 6 game, I would like them to go all out with incoming new fighters and Echo fighters. And also adding more Sonic characters like Shadow and Knuckles
I'm guessing because it was probably just a stopgap method to easily bulk out newcomers that fans really wanted when there was a lower amount of non-clone newcomers with "Everyone is here!" in the base game. And even then, they barely added anything different for Daisy, Dark Samus and Richter. At some point you're gonna hit diminishing returns with potential exact clones of characters that are also worth it to include from a fan demand perspective.
To be fair, the Sega Ages versions of Sonic 1 and 2 are the best way to play the classic games on the Switch. Sega Genesis Classics have a terrible input lag and Sonic Origins Plus is a different game with more ocntent.
Back when it was brand new I played Forces for the first time on switch and then I didn't touch it for 7 years. Don't know if it's just because I'm used to smooth PC gameplay or if my switch was getting old but I tried replaying Forces on that same switch and it felt so terrible
6:51 this is the main reason why I can't bring myself to play any of the Mega Man legacy collections on Nintendo Switch...outside of Zero and ZX. Nearly all of these collections suffer from input lag, and I hate it! And that goes double for the Street Fighter anniversary collection! ...online, anyway
3:26 to say that Sonic forces is worse than Sonic 06 is ludicrous. I'm not saying that Sonic forces is one of the best games because it's not. I actually grew up in the 90s so I started with the Genesis games in fact the very first game I ever beat was the original Sonic 1 on genesis, but I've enjoyed several of the 3D games that came out later like the Sonic Adventure games, but I just don't get why people talk about Sonic forces like it's the worst thing to ever happen to the franchise when it has the modern boost formula that people love that people even argue makes the best Sonic game ever made because a lot of people think Sonic unleashed is the greatest Sonic game which the daytime stages is where the modern 3D boost formula came from. How can you say a game that includes something that you love from what you say is your best game is the worst game? It doesn't make sense. Sonic forces is a flawed game but that doesn't make it the worst game.
Yeah I agree. For as automated as Forces is, it's quick and doesn't overstay its welcome. It might be a core problem for many, but I'm glad it doesn't meander around like 06.
If they cut out some of these zones, like that desert zone, and reworked the god-awful boss battles, I would have liked Sonic Superstars a lot more. But as it stands, I took that SOB right to the pawn shop. Sonic Superstars just did not respect my time
I straight up do not have the issues ppl talk about with Frontiers on Switch like idk if I'm not noticing anything but I had to refund my pc version cuz of how it ran and the Switch one works perfectly

22:11 THANK YOU!!!! I love this game and sometimes it feels like I’m the only one who does! 😂 Only problems I had with Sonic Superstars was the terrible role out of additional customs and region differences in this regards (I don’t want a Kroger account to own the cool cel shading fits) and I felt the OST was just a high 6 low 7 out of 10 which is a big down grade since Sonic OSTs are usually a 9/10 Outside of that Superstars is a blast to play!! I do hate how Sega has decided to work with LRG though… That really disappointed me.
I don't really vibe with Tokyo 2020 Olympics' story mode because it's just waaaaay too diolouge heavy I swear I spent more time reading than actual gameplay
4:05 one of the worst Sonic games of all time? I get the impression you're not that familiar with a lot of other Sonic games. When it comes to the worst Sonic games, it's not just Sonic 06 and Sonic boom. It's not just the modern games or the 3D games. You ever heard of Sonic labyrinth? A lot of people can't stand Sonic 3D blast. I think that game is all right but it has some annoying things about it. The other one that's called Sonic blast, now that game is pretty damn bad. Shadow the hedgehog is an awful game. Sonic Genesis on the Game Boy Advance is virtually unplayable. So to argue that Sonic forces is one of the worst Sonic games is ridiculous. It's a flawed game and I would definitely not consider it to be one of the best Sonic games not even close, but to consider it one of the worst just doesn't make sense
why people even want Shadow to be a Sonic echo fighter? Sonic's moveset is a terrible representation of Sonic's moveset, much less Shadow Okay, but a lot of the "Epilepsy Warning Clips" for Sonic Colors HD were people using early builds of Yuzu to capture the game, and when called out, they doubled down on their clownery.
yeah, it's weird that Sonic Gens runs at 30fps on Switch considering itruns at 60 on the 360 version & that console is weaker than the Switch... which is crazy when i say that out loud. I guess is because Sonic Team wanted it to be consistent & not make Shadow Generations look worse also add the Doom Powers to the list of "why would you want Shadow to be an Echo Fighter?" screw having three Spindashes i want to Smack Mario in the face with a Manta, or have a Squid-off against the Inklings
I'm not saying Colors HD is a good Switch port, I'm just saying people made it worse than it was. Also having the Mother Wisp show up in TSR, the Burst & Void wisps in Forces, but neither of the 3DS levels featuring them in the Remaster still baffles me
does the gamecube have a sonic game made for the ground up for it that wasn’t a racing game? or am i missing something here. i think the wii was when the sonic fanbase truly merged with nintendo fans, sonic adventure 2 battle on gamecube brought in some ppl too. sonic doesn’t really have a home console now unlike mario, which is fine. sonic doesn’t stay on one platform, he’s too fast! :D
When my friend said Forces was the best Sonic game they ever played even after playing the nintendo online Sonic 2 i went out to the store got them Generations and said here play a good Sonic game instead😂 if they think Forces is the best they needed to be educated on what a good Sonic game actually is
This might be a hot take but I don't like Sonic Colors that much. It's just very meh to me. I like it less than Sonic Forces and that should say something. The game is too slow, too many stop and go platform segments, too many 2D segments in a 3D Sonic game, and the story is just boring and inoffensive. I understand that Colors is an important game and brought the series back to life when it first released, but playing it nowadays I just find it boring. Then again I didn't grow up playing it so the fans of Colors probably have a lot of nostalgia for it. When I was younger I played Mega Collection Plus on PS2, Sonic 06, Sonic Unleashed, and Generations. I didn't own a Wii when I was younger.
Sonic Superstars is fine, but it's nowhere near as good as Mania. Superstars did not deserve to sell triple the copies as Mania despite also being double the price.
Colours Ultima is still the biggest sting. It had no right being actively worse than the original release. People at the time liked to complain about remasters that used emulation but I EWISH that's what they had done. Could have got the game to 60 on Switch.
Sorry but no... Sonic forces is not that bad. Honestly the hate for forces is so overblown. People act like they have ptsd flashbacks over it and people who have such a huge genuine hatred of forces honestly are more laughable than game journos that say "The Blue Blur has never been the same since his jump to 3d" or "I've had enough of Sonic's Shitty Friends" or people who still bitch about Sonic 06. It's that pathetic to me. Sonic Forces is just mediocre. It's lame, uninteresting and not worth any hatred or praise.
Agreed. Forces is a mediocre game. But it is nowhere near as bad as others think. As Somecallmejohnny put it, the game ain't a complete broken mess like Sonic 06 or Boom: Rise of Lyric and nowhere near as despicable as Shadow 05, the storybook series or again; Sonic 06. But it's definitely one of those games.
@@CodyMcF-Lamm Sonic Forces and Sonic Lost World are neither good as the Best of Sonic or as Bad as the Worst of Sonic games like Sonic 06 Shadow 05 or Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric they are both just Super Mid and as a result never get talked about
It's mostly because it was mediocre that people go overboard with the hate. After Lost World, which wasn't all that great, and Rise of Lyric, which was utterly horrible, we didn't want a game that was just mediocre. We wanted something good for 3D Sonic, and Forces was a huge disappointment.
Please never classify smash as a sonic game, especially since sonic is treated dirty in that game. Smash is amazing but it's not a sonic game,u might as well classify soul calibur as a zelda game since u can play as link on the gamecube
Uh, I really don't want to be that guy but come on - can we stop calling Sonic Forces THE WORST SONIC GAME EVER? It's so fucking stupid, you are all implying that the game has NO redeeming points whatsoever? How about a really great soundtrack then? You can hate classic sonic synths all you like, but overall it is a really strong side of Forces. What's next, um, great graphics? Ayo? It's the game that started the "cinematic" trend (remember such moments with a snake or a spaceship? The similar elements are part of Sonic Frontiers & Shadow Generations). Also the game has a style to it, the UI is great - all the menus look slick. Of course gameplay wise it's not great, but it is still manageable. You can hate or don't like the game, it's totally fine, I'm just tired that people start to pretend it's worse than 06 (that game is literally the alfa ver. that was sold for full price)
I'm glad to hear someone else say Forces is their most hated Sonic game because I fully agree. Not even a debate I WOULD rather play 06 than Forces. At least that game lets me play it and has some genuinely fun level design (game not working and bits of automation here and there not withstanding)
They may be all on Switch, but that begs the question why you would want to play them on Switch when there's more powerful consoles. Even handheld gaming PCs are leagues more powerful than the Switch, so not even the portability argument holds up. With the Switch, especially this late in it's lifespan, due to it being incredibly weak and outdated, is definitely not a good console for third-party ports. That was an issue with Nintendo on the handheld side of things, and starting with the Wii, on the console side of things (even though technically Switch is just a console with a dock to allow it to be played on a TV). How powerful the Switch 2 is, and how well it would run ports at least for the first half of its life remains to be seen.

Mania & Sonic X Shadow Generations are the only Sonic games on Switch or modern multiplatform consoles in general that are worth it.
Sonic colors ultimate was definitely rough at launch. After the patches though, I'd say it aint that bad. It's still very much sonic colors.
I really like sonic colors ultimate and the hate for it won’t stop me
@@dynamicyouthtube Good. It shouldn't.
Somic x Shadow Generations is damn near a 10/10
8:06 Technically they were acknowledging it, in fact, the PC version of this very collection "acknowledging" Sonic 3&Kn is the reason why they had to remove it & get the pre-release tracks for Origins in the first place
I wanna try out generations on switch! It looks amazing! Also, looking forward to the new racing game
Sonic 2 and Spinball are the only two Sonic games on the Genesis/Mega Drive NSO app.
To be fair, the Sega Ages versions of Sonic 1 and 2 are the best way to play the classic games on the Switch.
Sega Genesis Classics have a terrible input lag and Sonic Origins Plus is a different game with more ocntent.
27:01 It’s actually a DLC, Featuring a world and a skin pack
The Genesis collection has input lag on Steam as well
Again, Mighty and Ray are not lost. They were around. Try the comic
sonic x shadow gens was the cherry on top ngl
W/ Origins on switch I get to play Triple Trouble again so I'm happy.
Back when it was brand new I played Forces for the first time on switch and then I didn't touch it for 7 years. Don't know if it's just because I'm used to smooth PC gameplay or if my switch was getting old but I tried replaying Forces on that same switch and it felt so terrible
I really want Sonic Adventure 1 on my Switch!
0:44 Wii U had sonic racing only on there too
If they cut out some of these zones, like that desert zone, and reworked the god-awful boss battles, I would have liked Sonic Superstars a lot more.
So about Mario and Sonic, no, there isn’t going to be another one.
Will you talk abt sonic colors re rainbow on this channel
Take this as a yes!
I think Sonic’s spirits in Smash Ultimate are pretty bad in the Spirit Battles department.
How do you not have Silver posses Mewtwo and you fight him on Delfino Plaza?!
22:11 THANK YOU!!!! I love this game and sometimes it feels like I’m the only one who does! 😂
Only problems I had with Sonic Superstars was the terrible role out of additional customs and region differences in this regards (I don’t want a Kroger account to own the cool cel shading fits) and I felt the OST was just a high 6 low 7 out of 10 which is a big down grade since Sonic OSTs are usually a 9/10
Outside of that Superstars is a blast to play!!
I do hate how Sega has decided to work with LRG though… That really disappointed me.
Minecraft on switch is actually the worst way to play the game it runs half the speed and also randomly crashes
We just need sonic riders again
Random tidbit but the input delay for genesis collection is prominent on every console!! It's still abysmal even on series X.
I like Forces
for the character creator alone
Let's make Sonic forces' spot in last place a comfy one
I own a ps4 and series x but i mostly choose the switch just for the portability
Subnautica is a miracle port
did anyone else find cream and cheese in every chapter ❤
this is already outdated sonic racing crossworlds is coming soon!!!!!
You forgot Mania on the thumbnail
Sonic's moveset is a terrible representation of Sonic's moveset, much less Shadow
Okay, but a lot of the "Epilepsy Warning Clips" for Sonic Colors HD were people using early builds of Yuzu to capture the game, and when called out, they doubled down on their clownery.
yeah, it's weird that Sonic Gens runs at 30fps on Switch considering itruns at 60 on the 360 version & that console is weaker than the Switch... which is crazy when i say that out loud. I guess is because Sonic Team wanted it to be consistent & not make Shadow Generations look worse
also add the Doom Powers to the list of "why would you want Shadow to be an Echo Fighter?" screw having three Spindashes i want to Smack Mario in the face with a Manta, or have a Squid-off against the Inklings
Sonic and Sega warriors for switch 2
I love Sonic Speed Simulator!!!
4:10 love force on switch but I. Born with sonic 1
I want Unleashed
Colours Ultima is still the biggest sting. It had no right being actively worse than the original release. People at the time liked to complain about remasters that used emulation but I EWISH that's what they had done. Could have got the game to 60 on Switch.
Amazing vid dude. Once again some amazing content🤩
17:43 2022*
Sorry but no...
Sonic forces is not that bad.
Honestly the hate for forces is so overblown. People act like they have ptsd flashbacks over it and people who have such a huge genuine hatred of forces honestly are more laughable than game journos that say "The Blue Blur has never been the same since his jump to 3d" or "I've had enough of Sonic's Shitty Friends" or people who still bitch about Sonic 06. It's that pathetic to me.
Sonic Forces is just mediocre. It's lame, uninteresting and not worth any hatred or praise.
Mega based
Havent wavent warxhes yet but I can still say generations and coloura don't belong high
I love Sonic Mania! Also, Superstars!
I think the cutscenes in the Original Generation game are better than the Remake Generation
Fair
#BringBackGamecomSonic
Honestly I think Mania is overrated. It's litearlly just a nostalgia-pandering rehash.
Sonic Mania was the first Sonic game on Switch, and still has yet to be topped.
3:35 I agree because Sonic 06 is an awesome game
Sonic frontiers is a terrible game
Yay!
Mania top tier
696th like.
sonic bias here is so sad. bro is acting like super stars and origins weren’t absolutely terrible games
I always thought that Superstars was good.
For Origins, it's good now. However, it was definitely questionable when it originally released
Sonic was never good
