@@newjumpswing93 Obviously brodda. But *"What If"* is not a good base for main storylines. They just wanted to cast Downey for his celebrity power. It was lazy casting.
If you are old comic book buff like myself, you’ll understand the character of Dr. doom. In my opinion, besides the fact that Disney is overreaching and is too expanded the density of it’s reality, cinematic adventure, as well as consistency has fained because it’s overreaching. It has become too large. It is trying to reach too many people adults who grew up with the characters and the comics and a new audience that is younger. As well as from a different understanding of the characters as well as their origins and their growth. Doctor Strange was one of the most powerful charismatic and sinister characters in the MCSU by turning the roll over to Robert Downey Jr. who did a magnificent job as Tony Stark and is a wonderful actor they’re missing the point they’re trying to bank in my opinion on a bankable star. It is not about the star. It’s about the character in the comic book. In my opinion. This movie is going to fail. Robert Downey Jr. has already been stamped stereotyped and cannot fulfill the shoes of the character of Dr. doom as well as being too old and not physically intimidating as a younger unknown would be so good luck Marvel I believe the stock in your company as well as Disney will slightly decline. I hope I’m wrong but good luck.
Thank you for sharing your perspective! You’ve brought up some excellent points, especially about the balance between staying true to comic roots and appealing to a broader, newer audience. It’s true that Disney and Marvel Studios are walking a fine line between honoring the essence of beloved characters and adapting them for a changing fanbase. I agree that Doctor Doom is a highly complex and layered character, and his portrayal requires careful consideration. RDJ is undeniably talented, and his legacy as Tony Stark is iconic. However, I can understand your concerns about whether he can embody Doom's menacing and imposing presence. Marvel has surprised us before, so while there are valid doubts, I’m holding out hope that they’ll do justice to Doom’s character. The depth and brilliance of Doctor Doom deserve a portrayal that resonates with longtime fans and introduces him compellingly to new ones. Let’s see how Marvel handles this challenge-it could either be a groundbreaking success or, as you fear, a misstep. Fingers crossed, and thanks again for your insights! Let’s hope they make it work! 😊
Long overdue.
But also this video is good and I really like the theory you have. Just wish you pronounced the names right 😂
Thanks for pointing this out. Hope you subscribe to get future updates.
Talk bot 😂😂
Downey as DOOM is lazy casting though.
Aloha, never forget the MCU is based upon the Marvel comic book universe. What if has a story of Stark taking over Doom’s body
