- Ok, I know what you’re thinking, framing with composite? Are you new??.
Well yes we are and no we’re not. OC Lumber is a framing product by Owens Corning it’s a composite composed of HDPE and fibreglass with a woven fibreglass tape that surrounds it and gives it incredible strength. We are very impressed with its ability to take a screw. Also no expansion or contraction to worry about. There for we can frame with ground contact and skip the joist tape. We also get to carry over the manufacturer warranty on it our clients. We are very proud of how this job turned out. Thanks for watching everyone.

I really like the color scheme and style of this backyard!! I'm really hoping to get that composite material in my area soon. I really want to try it out.
Thanks again! Hope fully in the new year!
At a glance it looks like your using 5/4 deck boards screwed together to make a 2 by. Still curious about environmental effects, is is a petroleum based plastic? What happens when you do throw it away is it better than PT in a landfill? We know it isn't getting recycled, lol.
We’re using 2x8 structural composite lumber. It’s claimed because the materials never rots that it’s less likely to be thrown away.
Looks fantastic. I’ve built a good handful of decks doing handyman work with a company and can appreciate the finer things here. Out of curiosity, since I do a little electric and cabinet style work, is the deck all you all have done or was the pergola, cabinets , and lighting stuff done by you all as well?
We did it all in this case
Really cool and nice build! When you're using helical pilings in Ontario do you have to have a structural engineer stamp your drawing?
The pile companies typically supply them
I love this video! Soundtrack, the connection with the customer, the new tech... Very inspirational as a builder. Well done guys,
Thank you!! I’m really glad to you think so.
nice job . that new joist material is sweet ! especially for low to grade decks.
Definitely
The back yard looks great!
Thanks!!
Great content 💯👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you!!
Don’t spread your audience in two videos a day, just do one every X days and try our different hours . Videos are looking great ✊🏾

His framing is beyond your math calculations too! 😮
@@Unknown15916 cause I'm talking about framing xd
😊
🤙
This strikes me as completely ridiculous. If you are going to do this just use galvanized metal - it's probably cheaper and about 20x stronger.
Also.. microplastics all over that yard that'll be there forever.
We’ve since set up a better vac system on the mitresaw. Things I should have addressed
It looks like a Storage Container from China !!! 😅
