Snow [from the "Weather suite"] (Per-Olov Kindgren)

- Tabs and Sheet music are available here: shop.per-olovk... When I composed this in November 2023, it was snowing outside. Since then Spring has arrived with is tiny buds and light-green haze in the forests near me. I even saw a butterfly last week.
But the funny thing is that yesterday it was snowing here! My garden was totally white for 30 minutes until it all melted again in the 5-6°C we had.
So, in a way, it is appropriate to post this now.
It is from my Weather series (Rain, Gentle Breeze, Snow) and more pieces will be added.

Very beautiful! Living in western NY state, USA, I am very familiar with snow! Though sometimes people complain about it- and it can be a nuisance at times- there is also something very peaceful about gently falling snowflakes. The first snow of the season always brings the same excitement to me that I felt as a child! Thank you for sharing your lovely composition.

И вспоминаю зиму я -

Как снег пушистый с неба падал -
Он землю в белый пух запрятал.
Дышал морозом утром я,
Кормил с ладони снегиря
И в парк я шёл смотреть на ели -
От снега ели побелели
И гнутся лапы их к земле,
А белки рыжие в дупле
Припасы на зиму считают
И поиграться выбегают :
По ёлками прыгают вдвоём
Коротким, зимним, снежным днём...
Я вспомнил зиму, вспомнил снег
И ледяной реки тот брег :
Иду по льду - камыш промёрз
По всей реке на пять аж вёрст.
Деревья белые стоят
И все они до лета спят...
А снег всё сыплет нам с небес -
Украсил он поля и лес,
И город красивее стал !
О нём совсем я не сказал...
Ну, ладно - как-нибудь потом :
В каком-нибудь стишке другом...
Я вспомнил зиму, холода -
Как засыпали нас снега,
А скоро лето и жара,
И будет жар - как от костра !
И будем дням вести мы счёт,
Когда же снег опять придёт ?...

Yes, I play it better these days but I don’t want to spend time on a retake since I have hundreds of pieces I also would like to play here.
This is a wonderful piece, dear Per-Olov. I'll definitely play that too - but I'll wait for next winter. This composition doesn't sound like a few snowflakes, it sounds like a peaceful thick blanket of snow. OK. I don't know if next winter will bring us something like this, but if it does... I'm ready and have a piece to match. Thank you for that!

This is such an unexpected form of freshness :)
France apart from its mountains is not a very snowy country but due to its contours, it is often called the hexagon, this could only inspire me :)
Your composition has the structure of flakes. It is brilliant and all the notes are starry.
These notes are the crystals that behave like mirrors that reflect your light back to us.
The music comes alive when the notes are delicately placed and played on the staff;
Likewise, the snow on the ground comes to life when the crystals recompose, adding up to produce white light.
Full of freshness, your music is also this white light;
A light that soothes and ultimately fills us with warmth like a soft coat of snow would do
It's a great and beautiful composition
