This has the potential to be a really lovely project. Having built a "Brand New" 1963 Lotus Seven from start to finish with all renovated original parts myself, I could recommend the book "Lotus Seven" by Tony Weale as a build guide. (Costly to buy if you can find one, but worth its weight in Gold!) Lotus Sevens and Caterham Sevens are NOT the same thing and almost None of any of the Caterham parts will fit a Lotus Seven. My own seven even has the 39 HP Pre Crossflow Ford engine like the one available in this video. ALL genuine Lotus parts for the cars are still available in the UK and pattern replicas are of an excellent quality. Good luck with the sale, sir.
@@heartbreakerh2o Hello! I am so sorry to have missed your message asking for an address to buy parts from. Firstly, Redline Components are stockists of most common Lotus Seven parts. Also, just bear in mind that almost all of the "Lotus parts" used to make the Lotus Sevens in the period were nothing of the sort. Pretty much anything that is not a Ford Motor Company part, was actually from the "Standard Triumph" parts bin. There are plenty of big wholesalers in the UK for these parts.
A Vehicle Identification Number suggesting a "home-built" perhaps? That simply isn't an original Lotus 7 chassis, there are too many little things that are "wrong", but I'd guess you already know that. Parts of it maybe??
Here from BaT. Subscribed for the goodness!

Where in the UK are you getting the parts? I hit a wall restoring mine.
