- I had the travel bug again! So I decided to spend it on the Metrolink San Bernardino line during the rush hour. For 2 and a half days I filmed metrolink at the peak of rush hour and was not disappointed with the trains. Also rarely seen in my videos is Metrolink 800! The only F40PH soon to be retired and/or sold off to a museum. BNSF made several appearances in this video as they are becoming more common on Metrolink while they inspect their cab cars for defects. This video features the most foreign leaders and rare power than any other video on my channel. Hope you guys enjoy the new intro and outro!

SCAX 854 using K5LA P2
Number 851 has a new bell if is hybrid
Why is Metrolink #900 and #800 in reverse? 7:17 and 10:40
Just curious, but what kind of horn is it that metrolink uses?
+Brandon Koole Nathan P2 and K5LA
Ah, ok thanks!
+California Rail Productions™ I thought they only use Nathan P2 and very rarely k5la.
Its been the conplete opposite lately
Don't forget the K2s on the Rotems and F125s. A backup K3LA on 926, and a backup K3L on 929.
2:41 K5LA
This is upland
Nice!! So do you know what's behind them using BNSF Dash 9s now?
Its because the FRA is requiring diesel engines on both ends of the consist for safety reasons. They figured the locomotive would better protect the train crew from accidents. And the reason for them using BNSF units? Metrolink is renting them out.
+John Steven (Cameraguy92) Oh okay! Thanks.
F59 854 sounds awful!
Not the K5LA but the P2 yes.
