We've been full-time RV living for the last 5 years in a 43 foot diesel pusher. We decided about 8 months ago to change from motorized to a 5th wheel. During that time we've looked at just about everything, from Jayco - North Point, Grand Design - Solitude too DRV - Mobile Suites. We were about to give up as we could not find our perfect RV until we watched this video. We watched the construction video, and than drove 3.5 hours to the closest dealer to look at a Riverstone in person. Well our factory ordered Riverstone 39RKFB will arrive in about 6 more weeks. Can't wait.
My94SL500 We are leaning towards a used DRV....why do you like this one better? Just curious? (DRV is insulated with wool, quality solid wood interior. ) Just learning about this Riverstone. So many out there. We just want quality and to last us awhile.)

Wool bat insulation, all the wood you see and feel is real, dual pane frameless windows, on-demand tankless hot water, and the exterior is painted hung fiberglass. The list goes on and on. I am torn between a Riverstone Legacy and Pinnacle. The Pinnacle and Riverstone are both widebody. For me, it's down to the overall aesthetic and how the unit feels once inside. Having the washer and dryer not in the bedroom or the kitchen has limited my options. This is one of the few options with a "laundry room" that happens to have a toilet. Add a fold down ironing board and pull out hanging rod and I'm all set.
Wool insulation hmmm. What happens over time when the wool starts to sag and fall. My Heartland Eldridge has the ferion stove and microwave, 60 smart tv, a true Jensen surround, theater seat with massage seating, Haier 18 cubic ft residential fridge, Real oak cabinets, full fiberglass shower/tub and the bedroom is set up for a King to live in. So what I’m trying to say is, this guy made out like all these options were only for this product. Heartland and keystone are both all aluminum framing. So would you rather have a unit that cost over 130k or a unit Keystone which is the leader in the industry and Heartland a company that is all about detail and 50k less with all the same name brand options.
Forest River has outdone themselves on this 18.5 Legacy 39RKFB floor plan! Now my all time favorite layout with a perfect office space and everything else needed for home comfort living on vacation or at work. Awesome job Ray as always! Thank you! Wish this unit and a FR sales center was up north here in British Columbia, Canada!
I just bought one of these. My wife and I love the floor plan. The desk!!!! This is our 3rd Forest River since 2010. They have been good campers for us. No major issues with the previous 2. One a bumper pull and the next a toy hauler. Have liked them both. Upgrading to the 39rkfb!!!

PERFECT layout. Really nice to see some change. Absolutely love the desk and its position directly across the couch. FINALLY a coach with a proper desk like that. So rare! Desk would be a must for me. But not a fan of the color scheme of furniture, floors, walls, counters, backslash on this one, its all too cold. That tile stuff that's on the kitchen ceiling is bad, hopefully its easy to remove or order without.. That laundry chute thing is really cool. Also really like the fireplace in the bedroom. And that back bathroom is huge! Love it.
I agree with your opinion on the layout, but everyone has their own color scheme preferences. I like a cooler setting, so everything is perfect for me except the reflective metallic ceiling in the kitchen. I agree with you about that. I love everything else!
After watching the video again, I just might like the kitchen ceiling. The stainless steel color matches the appliances and the reflective pattern will create more depth and light up the work area when preparing meals.
This is one of the nicest ive seen. Been following RV reviews the past year or so... this one is pretty much checking all the boxes.... q can you get the bedroom with ceiling fan?
Great floor plan. Why the hell did they put the inverter in the wet bay?!?!?!?! Why is the converter/breakers on the floor in the bedroom? Why is the solar controls on the wall next to the bed? Why is the water heater control at the bathroom sink? Every other full time coach, and most weekenders, have all the electronic components and control panels in the same cabinet. The floor plan is very well thought out but the electrical system seems to have been tossed in as an afterthought.
Hello. It's called hitch weight or pin weight. All of the weight of a camper is not on the axles. Part of that weight is on the hitch or front landing gear if your not hooked up to the truck. This Riverstone model has an average pin weight of about 3,150 pounds. 16,023 pounds minus 3,150 pounds of hitch weight means you have about 13,053 pound on your 16,000 pound axles.
I LOVE everything about this coach but there is only 2 changes I would make if it could be done is the master bath. We don't need his and hers sinks. I'd rather have a a full cabinet and have 1 sink. The second is... I'd rather have the dining room table to be one of those that has the storage when flipped up and 4 of the chairs with storage under the seats.
I really like this, extept I would do a little reconfiguring the middle section. I would add a bunk room and a shower to that half bath. I'm sure it would extend the trailer by about 5 feet. which would make this a special order. I want to find one to live in full time with my 11 year old and my husband. love the quality of this model. feels like home.

The desk is optional. the other option is a sofa. Check floor plan layout at forest river RV. it is the option we are ordering. also generator and slide toppers.
I'm seeing that it's rare but, we're looking for a 5th wheel or travel trailer that has a full deep bathtub in it!!? Lots of us old people need a tub to soak in!!!
I'm going to be forced to sell my home. This is my plan then find a place to park it. Only way I can live on disability and a dead beat ex. This has everything I need and then some. Good by high property taxes and endless yard work.
We are getting ready to retire. We have a 5th wheel now but it isn't quite right for full time living. We will sell our 4 bedroom house, get a smaller one in a retirement friendly part of the country and use the 5th wheel to take long trips around the country. We've been "camping" for 13 years. we do not pay for hotel rooms, rental cars, or eating out unless we want to. average site fee per night is about $50. Sure! Buy a house raise a family. But plan for your time too!
I was interested until I saw the heater vent by the toilet. That is a big FAIL to me. Why do nice rv's have heater vents by the toilet, that is so gross.
At least it's not right in front of the shower. Like have seen in so many. Why can't they put the vent at the bottom on the cabinet. It's out of the way, no water will get down it.
I hope forest river is better than they have been. The crap that’s been coming out of their plants and quality control have been in the toilet. Or do they just play to the rich people and give them units like this.
I don't know why they don't put an induction cook top...that way you don't have to heat up your space when cooking.... I never use my gas stove...I purchased a nu-wave induction cook top....so much more efficient.
People who really get into culinary prefer gas because as a chef you can make food taste way better with gas especially saute' and many other ways to cook. Might not make a huge difference when boiling a pot of water but I would say gas has way more pros than any other cook top.
Lighted cup holders. Because Americans will buy anything. And still, it looks like the 90’s revisited. When will they finally update the interior in RVs? Watch the RV remodel shoes. First thing people do is paint the ugly interior and rip out the valances. Should that not be a hint to what people really want.
Very informative but way too slow. It is a video so we can pause it to get a better look at anything we are interested in. Thank you for the video though. It's helps to not have to find the rig and travel to see it.
The Crew Cab with the 6' 4" bed does well for your normal highway and around town driving, however, for those few times that you might get stuck needing to make a full 90 degree turn (NORMALLY BACKING INTO SOME SPOTS) I would at least recommend a manual slider for those just in case times. Some choose to do the fully automatic sliding hitches that way they never really have to worry about getting out to manual unlock the hitch. The fully automatic hitches cost a little more and weight is a little more but they are really nice.
Having owned a rear kitchen 5th wheel for a few years, I would NEVER recommend a unit that has the refrigerator mounted in the back, such as shown in this unit. Had I known then, what I know now, I would NOT have made the purchase. Keep in mind that these thing are like big "Teeter-Tooters" and the refrigerator is getting the brunt of the up and down motion which moves things around inside....and will break stuff. I cannot wait to dump this coach in favor of a unit with the frig in the middle. Just my 2 cents worth. v/r, TS
Hello. They are now offering the Mor-Ryde step that comes down and touches the ground. It can be ordered either way depending on what the customer likes.
Those aluminum tread folding steps are way better than the new ones they are strapping on everything. try pulling into a crowded rest area and drop the stairs out of the door. Not fun. Additionally the steps hold sand/dirt and everytime you fold them up into the coach the stuff you couldn't get with a broom ends up in the coach. Even Keystone is now offering factory built units without those steps upon request.

I've seen a table with two side boards. Loved that because you can have a space for office. Store it away then use the same table for dining.

I have the same problem. It seems all the really perfect riges are to heavy for my truck. Not really wanting to by a 2 or 3 ton truck.

someone please enlighten me, if the unit has a DRY weight of 16,203 pounds, and has two 8,000 lbs axles how does it meet DOT requirements

Why all the little details ? Everybody has max air fans and elongated toilet . Also theatre seats are quite common
