I’m very happy once again to be asked to provide guitar for a Virtual Band cover, spearheaded by David Castagna. This time taking a break from Journey and trying my favourite Van Halen song. A pleasure to play with such great musicians and a killer vocalist too. 😁

I did a stream a couple of years ago going over them. It was called ‘how to get a def Lep tone’ and I offer how you might get it with other gear. But essentially it’s a compressor, distortion, chorus and delay.

The studio version where Eddie plays the solo and other parts instead of what they ddi on tour where Eddie stayed on the keyboards for Love Walks In and Sammy played the guitar parts. What do you think?

I like that I can actually hear the bass as opposed to the original recording, but I feel like it’s a little too much and covers up too much of the guitar.
