Ooookaaaaay ---______--- I'm not a musician so help me understand this cuz i'm actually a huge evanescence fan (and i'm starting to regret it). So you have Will Hunt, an amazing drummer, Troy Mclawhorn, an amazing guitarist who has been working with Will hunt for a long time, and you brought this German guitarist to replace Terry. It's been 6 year? since their self titled album, which overall was decent (not good, not amazing, but decent, considering the potential and the wait). So now she's telling us that she's going to bench all her band mates, they will not release a new album with new songs (maybe a couple), but she's going to remake their old songs that i've been listening to for decades but with orchestra instead of rock. How am I supposed to react as a fan of rock music? I'm honesty not holding my breath, and I heard the bring to life synthesis which was extremely underwhelming. Jesus, if you want to give up, just give up. I just hope to God the new Cold album will be good.

It's always been her dream to play it in an orchestral setting. They Might try to do something of both metal and Orchestra like the band RED (highly recommend you check them out) Or like a hand Hans Zimmer thing where there is orchestra and Drum sets and guitarists so it's a wave of modern and classical feel at the same time. If you are a fan of her work hopefully you won't have to much problems with the instrumentation. I love metal and Rock as well as Orchestra but don't think rock only works for bands. It is a style of music. I encourage you to explore different symphonic music for orchestra or anything at all. I don't care if you agree with me or not I just want to help you discover awesome stuff

I'm just going to make a very fair and valid point. No musician (band, solo artist, orchestra performer, composer, etc) is obligated to only create music of the same genre. They're allowed to change things up a bit as their interests, skills, and overall life evolve. It so very annoys me when I see fans of and bands or solo artists saying the new stuff sucks because it's not what they originally became a fan of. Another thing, learn to distinguish between taste and quality. All of Evanescence's work, past and present, is phenomenal as far as quality goes. Whether it's your taste is a completely different matter. Don't say something is bad or under par when in reality you just simply don't like it.
