This song speaks to a lot of people who are justing coming to christ, but even for me, a believer of many years, this song still speaks to me. Our culture demands complacency. It demands cowardousness. The scriptures says when we come to christ, that we express a fullness of joy. How often do we see realy christians express this? This is because we are told to take up our cross EVERY DAY. Come to his feet EVERY day. Not once a week. The greatest commandment is to love gpd with all of your heart, soul, and strength. Do you do this every day? I dont. Now is the time to revisited the cross.
If you give your all you get what the Lord wants for you. Don't seek through life asking why but ask how. How can you live through Christ and be with Him in the Kingdom of Heaven. (:
I love this song because it reminds me of my faults and my need to repent daily. God is so merciful and just. Just by punishing sin and merciful by putting the punishment of that sin on Jesus instead of us.

There are a lot of worship songs that promise something from ourselves that we know we aren’t ready for. It might have a statement like, “I surrender every part of my life to You” or, “I’ll follow You no matter the cost”. These are fantastic things to say to Him - if we really mean it. If you have not yet made that conscious decision, then it’s better NOT to sing those words. Stop and consider what that would mean for your life. It’s a big deal! Let those songs remind you to pray about it and consider making that decision. If you do come to that commitment, then you can sing it with conviction. It’s okay to sing something that we aspire to, even if we don’t perfectly live it out yet. There was a time in my life when I wasn’t sure how far I was willing to go in my faith. I had been raised in church, and I knew I believed in Him, but I wasn’t sure if I was ready to commit everything to Him. I could easily live the rest of my life being a nice person and going to church, but other than that just doing whatever I wanted. It was pretty intimidating to trust Him with everything and decide to do what He says no matter what. Should I dip my feet in the pool, or dive in? While I was struggling with all that, I would often go silent when singing worship songs. I didn’t want to lie to Him or fool myself. But there just wasn’t enough meaning in a self-focused existence. I realized even my pleasures would get stale without a larger purpose and a deeper source of joy. If I believed in Him, and believed He was good and loves me, why wouldn’t I give Him everything? So whenever those hard songs would come up, I would pray, “please bring me to the point where I can sing every word of this song honestly.” The more I began to give Him my insecurities, affections, and aspirations, the more my life became inspired and passionate. Within a year, I was able to worship freely without any internal conflict. I basically got a new lease on life once I let go and let Him take me all the way. This song was a part of my journey, and I still love it!

I’ve been battling with an ED for a few years, it was the high to my lows, I felt powerful and then it got so bad I had to make a decision, let it consume me and slowly fade away, or recover, I had messed chemicals up so bad in my brain that I didn’t feel anything, recovering I didn’t think I’d ever feel happy again, I thought I’d always hate myself, there was constant doubt and pain on my long road to recovery… I relapsed 9-10 times and fell back to the same place every time, I was going through the motions, God got ahold of me even tho I had walked away from my beliefs of there even being a God throughout my ED, I’m almost fully recovered. Some days are hard, I just have to give it to God.
@DementedDogg99 I'm going to say something my Youth Pastor said to me that I never knew after being a Christian for 2 years: No matter what you do, God will ALWAYS love you. But it can change how pleased with you God can be. He compares it to like your father (which God is), you want nothing than to make him proud. And when you let him down and you know it, you feel bad. But no matter how disappointed, God will still ALWAYS love you. If you want I can ask what the scripture is that backs this.

I’ve been battling with an ED for a few years, it was the high to my lows, I felt powerful and then it got so bad I had to make a decision, let it consume me and slowly fade away, or recover, I had messed chemicals up so bad in my brain that I didn’t feel anything, recovering I didn’t think I’d ever feel happy again, I thought I’d always hate myself, there was constant doubt and pain on my long road to recovery… I relapsed 9-10 times and fell back to the same place every time, I was going through the motions, God got ahold of me even tho I had walked away from my beliefs of there even being a God throughout my ED, I’m almost fully recovered. Some days are hard, I just have to give it to God.

@DementedDogg99 I'm going to say something my Youth Pastor said to me that I never knew after being a Christian for 2 years: No matter what you do, God will ALWAYS love you. But it can change how pleased with you God can be. He compares it to like your father (which God is), you want nothing than to make him proud. And when you let him down and you know it, you feel bad. But no matter how disappointed, God will still ALWAYS love you. If you want I can ask what the scripture is that backs this.

This song is AMAZING! It led me to take the best choice I've made in my life, doing a YWAM DTS in Los Angeles, God met me for real in those five months, He broke my chains and changed my life. I'm eternally grateful to Him :DGod helped me going AGAINST the motions, and it's amazing!
