Christianity is not something passed down by blood. Look into Scripture and you will see that God adopts us into His family, not by blood, but by Grace. It is a gift by His Will. We have a desire to do things NOT for our sake nor for our praise, but FOR Him and His Glory because we are ever so grateful that He allows us to be forgiven through Jesus's Name. But, keep in mind, this does not mean it is okay to willfully keep sinning. Repentance means to turn away from sin completely, no longer having the same "joy" we got from it because we would rather please Lord. Doing good things or saying good things doesn't mean we are purely good, as Jesus was the only human to live perfectly righteous and holy. That is why He was the ONLY perfect sacrifice who could represent us fully as man, when man had an impending punishment of facing God's Wrath. He did not just die, He lived a FULL life as man first in order to live years and years of turning away from all sorts of sins. Also, He rose again after his body died. He is the Living and One True God. And God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.

XxpeckxX Hearts That's awesome. Just in case the word "adopt" was taken literally by physical means, it is terminology in a spiritual sense. "Going to church" is good if you're going there for God and for receiving spiritual nourishment. Physical attendance is just physical attendance unless you're actually getting into the Word and understanding the Gospel with a clear understanding that sin is a major topic and cannot be belittled. Walking in Christ and being Christ-like is not about "doing good", it is about being obedient to God and following His Will rather than our own. I recommend to start off with listening to Paul Washer, Voddie Baucham, and WretchedTV on youtube :)

God has used this song and many other things to get me through really tough times. I really don’t know where I would be without Him. P.S. Do not be discouraged if people do not accept Jesus at first when you tell them about Him. God has used you to plant the seed, the Holy Spirit will guide them to Jesus (and most likely use God’s children to do so). Lots of times they accept the truth, and sometimes they don’t, all we can do is tell the truth and do God’s will. We can preach a sermon and live a sermon as well. To everyone reading this, don’t be ashamed of the Gospel, for He has set us free. Jesus is lord and loves you all!!❤️❤️

I didnt grow up with Christian music,. The past 8 months have been very enlightening and spiritual.
When I first heard this I didn’t even know it was a Christian song. I had a hard time accepting god and I still do sometimes. I sometimes didn’t feel like he cared for me because of all the suffering I went through. Although I went through so much, I’m working on believing that he loves me for me and loving him in return.

I’m very much not a Christian anymore but when I was little I would rely on religion to comfort me with all the issues that were going on in my life at the time (including a lot of Christian music and extra prayer). Luckily I’ve learned healthier methods to deal with my issues that don’t include trying to block out the negative things instead of deal with them, not nonetheless this song is really nostalgic and even though I’m not religious anymore this song remains to be a bop.

Ok I get what you're saying, and I myself am Christian but your statement is so flawed it hurts me. "Without God we would be committing sins everyday" if God didn't exist then there would be no such thing as committing sins. Also we do commit sins everyday, we are just forgiven.
the reality is many people reject Jesus because of how they were raised or because of a situation in their lives where they felt God let them down. All we can do is pray for lost souls.
