nobody asked but here are the lyrics to My Intestin’ is Protestin’
    VERSE 1
    i’m trying to to expel
    this beast back to hell
    but my shit won’t quit
    i’m afraid i’m gonna split
but not in the right place
oh i’m afraid my poo is late
    i’m running to the loo
please show me what to do
    [bridge]
    because my intestine
    is interestin’
    playin’ me for a fool
cos i’m fighting for this stool
will it get the best of me?
    my intestine
    is protesting
right now I can only wee
i miss the squatty potty and me

Challenge idea: each room is inspired by a different world in the game, BUT you cannot use any items from the corresponding pack AND you have to capture the vibes of the world.
For example: you get Island Living. You have to create the IL vibe as a bedroom without using any items from the IL pack.
That or each room is a different aesthetic.

The problem with fringes is that they get greasier easily because they are so close to your face, you can just tie up your hair, leave the fringe out and just wash that part, the good thing about this is, if you are too lazy to wash your hair you can do the same and walk around with your hair tied up but it won't look dirty because your fringe is nice and clean. 💕

For your fringe, my hairdresser told me that she’d just wash her fringe in the sink quickly in the morning with shampoo if she didn’t want to wash all her hair
Fringes will get extra greasy because of the scalp and forehead which is honestly just another pain to be so iconic but we must go on

if you’re using conditioner on your fringe, only use it on the ends, and if that doesn’t help, stop using conditioner on your fringe. it absorbs the oils from your scalp as well as your face so it doesn’t necessarily need to be conditioned each wash

Something I learned recently, and try to implement myself to various degrees of success, is that anxiety and excitement are very closely tied - almost the exact same feeling. So if you’re feeling anxious about something like feeling, try telling yourself that you’re excited. Like repeat it out loud over and over until you start to feel more excited than anxious.

You get 8 random sims (preferably townies), put them on a wheel, and say you're like "this will be the living room"- then you spin the wheel and have to try to cater the room to the townie's personality/"lore". Bonus points if you make a video with all 8 sims living there afterwards just to see how they interact.

I think it could be a fun challenge with friends, where each builds a room for a house one starts with the hallway adds doors, gives the empty shell to the next person that has to continue from the doorway, and so on and you give the empty shells to the next person until in the end when everyone places their furnished rooms in to the empty shell of the build house. just like the art challenge where you fold up a paper where you draw a head, upper body, lower body and feet all separately.

I did a similar sort of thing awhile back. Making each of the Build mode rooms, then putting them all together in a way that makes sense. I only had to add one hallway and then a few windows on the opposite sides of some of the individual rooms (that aren't seen from the build mode view). I believe I called it Build Mode House.

hey jesse I too had a severe problem with dry scalp/greasy hair and the reason your hair is greasy is most likely BECAUSE your scalp is dry! you should look into shampoos and scalp treatments for dry scalps. your hair might get extra greasy in the beginning but it should get better when your scalp doesn't need to produce all that extra oil anymore!
hope that helps, either way your hair is super pretty xx

Re: the fringe - if your scalp is too sensitive for scented dry shampoo, you could try using cornstarch and a big fluffy brush! I’m not sure how it would look with darker hair, but on my brightish blonde hair it looks just fine. I like to lift up the very top layer of my hair and then apply the cornstarch to the roots underneath. Then I drop the top layer back down and sort of fluff my hair all around before combing through everything with my fingers

I’ve seen the puzzle thing for shell challenges but not done like this, and I personally love how it turned out 💁🏻‍♀️ I might give it a go because I like how at the end the shape was actually interesting and not boxy like I would typically make if I built the exterior walls first.

Heard baby powder works for the grease in the bangs! But I used to just be dipping my face in the sink and washing my bangs by themselves

jesse!! an idea for greasy fringe or bangs that i use is either face setting powder and a brush or alternatively you can use baby talcum powder! i prefer the setting powder because it doesn’t smell like baby powder!

I had a challenge idea; what if you tried to build a house using only the pre-built rooms in the Sims (and maybe ones from the Gallery?) The rules are that you can only use pre-built rooms, you can replace like-with-like (so a counter could be replaced with another counter, but you couldn't just delete it and not add another), you can of course change the colors, wall paper, and floor, but that's it. If it's multi-story then you're allowed to add a stair-case/ladder to a room per floor you added (so two stairs if you have three floors, one stair for two floors, etc.).

At around 8:50 Jesse mentions sims 4's weird wallpaper choices and I couldn't agree more! The basegame especially has such modern items and yet the wallpapers are all...oh gosh. Something else 😅

Seriously though, this is a realistic modern house. I've seen a lot of crazy architect's homes, and this isn't completely crazy. Sure it's weird, it needs some changes but the overall look is actually kinda cool. Love the windows especially !

For your hair. I switched to Biolage KeratinDose shampoo and conditioner. It's for people who color/bleach their hair. My hair can go 2-3 days without getting oily now! I had to go back to a different conditioner for a few days when I ran out and it got so greasy again when using it.

instead of dry shampoo you could use cocoa + corn flour (i think the ratio is 1 to 1, but since your hair is lighter you could play around and see). it works great -sometimes better- than dry shampoo and it makes your hair smell like chocolate :)

Tip for your fringe from a hairdresser: use baby powder instead of dry shampoo. It looks a bit powdery at first but just brush it through and then blast your hair with a blowdryer for a few seconds. Do this before your hair gets oily so that it doesn't have a chance to start clumping together, for example if you have just washed your hair that morning then you should put the baby powder on just before you go to sleep that night. Try not to wash it too much as drying it out more will produce oil quicker.

My tips in regards to the fringe without using dry shampoo. You can either wash just your fringe to prevent the grease, and just tie the rest of your hair back, or you can use baby powder. It will take the moisture out of your hair (not saying this is good for your hair, but it works)

Just based off your hair tip ask 🥺 baking soda and baby powder are the OG “dry shampoos”, also, not using a shampoo that strips away all your natural oils will help a lot! Your scalp over produces oils when it feels scared that your hair and scalp is too dry! Ideally if you use a shampoo that doesn’t over strip and a conditioner that is moisturizing and reparative (not protein) it should help you a lot over time 🥺❤️ - just a tip from a girl with a hair certification, has been obsessed with hair for over 10 years, and has worked in the hair industry for four years ❤️ - if you have any more questions or want tips just let me know! My name is the same on Twitter as well if it’s easier to talk there!
