Heyyyy mauritian here
Hello i'am from indonesia🇮🇩🇮🇩
Amazing and delicious
Certified Gold!!!!! 😷
Aller maurice! Sa ki li
Almost all the dishes are not Mauritian. We Mauritian we mostly eat fish, rather than prawns and octopus. A typical Mauritian seafood would have been a bouillon of fish with a coconut chutney, a fish masala curry with aubergine and Flatbread and cucumber salad, or a fish rougaille with lentils and rice
Inspired Mauritian !
I don't agree entirely with this. Mauritian cuisine varies so much based on the area and subcultures be they Hindu, Muslim, Creole, Chinese or otherwise. But even if we're talking with Creole cuisine we have salade ourite, rougaille of prawns. My family whether it's those in Rempart, Beau Bassin, Port Louis, Flacq and more make dishes with them all the time, just as they make masala curries, vindaye, bouillon with chatini coco and more. Or what about salmi of various proteins? The cuisine is so diverse and wonderful, it's not just about the fish.
If you’ve never had a mauritian octopus curry mon frère you haven’t lived
It all depends on your ethnic origin. I eat more shell fish than fish. your name suggest that you are Muslim. Maybe shellfish and octopus is taboo for you.
Did anyone else notice Penny scratch her hair, and then continue to cook? I she cleaned her hands, yuck! That's my biggest pet peeve!
