The scene that starts at 8:18 and continues in part 2 should have been kept in. It is the best scene in the whole film and gives a good character development scene for Jack Sparrow.
I always end up wanting every seen included lol. Unless it really is bad but usually it's always great scenes that are cut...and for what? To save 10 minutes. Like yeah people are really going to leave theaters over a 10 minute different. I mean at least included the deleted scenes in the dvd/blu ray releases.
@@slenderfoxx3797 The one with the caves is a scene that I agree is to be cut, it dragged on for too long then needed. It's not the fact it's to save minutes, they cut scenes they feel like that either dragged on for too long, or were not needed at all (or just out of place overall). Zach Synder's Justice League is the most perfect example why scenes needs to be cut or else it'll just become way too long of a movie.
The part where jack says parley, he goes off about how the French are obsessed with raisins and says they're humiliated grapes really, is from the movie Benny and Joon. And after that Sam says "Its a shame about Raisins" which is a tongue in cheek joke/reference to a commercial Johnney was in the year before. Johnney plays a lead character named Sam who's character is sort of inspired by Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin. I love that movie so much it's adorable you have to see it. He wears a top hat and carries a cane it's so cute. 😊
I feel like the first scene was in the film, am I wrong? With Will breaking that candle thing off of the wall and throwing it into that small chute object?
The shot is in the film, but they shortened it quite a bit. It was pretty much JUST the punchline of Will breaking the Candle. That seems to be the case for many of the cut moments; a lot of them are in it; just cut down a bit.
@Iniolle 2:31-2:50 Will: Why bother with that? You could have escaped if you killed me before, but you weren't willing to use it. Jack: Are you advising me that was a mistake? When you've only got one shot it's best to wait for the opportune moment. That wasn't it. Nor is this.
I forgot Will broke a bit of the decoration in the Gov's house in PotC 1, but they remembered it when they wrote the Gov breaking a bit of the same in the jail Will's being held in later.
My favorite. 7:33 - 8:15 I wish they would have left that. "Humiliated grapes" ha ha ha! I didn't even realize that was from Benny and June until much later.
@@TDKiller415 to be honest i don't know much about the whole thing surrounding them two but i always viewed johnny depp as a sensitive person, someone with a lot of empathy, and with all the times he visited children's hospitals as sparrow...it's just sad that they're making a bad guy out of him without much evidence from what i've heard
I'd say to start off looking into the fashion attire of the 16-18th century. It's said that the movies aren't entirely accurate to history and that goes with the clothes. Are you looking for something similar to the clothing worn in Mozart's Amadeus? (the movie) I believe it's the Gregorian era...but I may be wrong. Hope I helped any. Goodluck!
If you mean the part where he pulls off a piece of the candlestick and hides it - that is the actual beginning of the movie, it's not deleted, I don't now what's it doing here.
thats literaly what i thought they cpuld have hid on board the pearl until the curse had been lifted.. then they could have freed the crew and started a mutiny.. they would have had the ship long before barbossa could get back to the pearl
2:08 , the umbrella part...kinda reminds you of the floating umbrella in Elizabeth's dream hmm? Oh by the way, what is it that Weatherby Swann says to Elizabeth. I know it was about her behavior...but what were the exact words? Thanks!
"French, invented mayonnaise!" Well, now I know where the Dead Men Tell No Tales joke came from (guillotine scene).
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who recognized that scene lmao
They really liked this joke. Kept it for 14 years, lmao.
Except that mayonnaise was "invented" (if one could say so) in 19th century. Oh, well, still funny.
I wish they'd release an extended version of this movie...

You are so right
Late reply, but I'm guessing that that scene, and the one in PotC 2 with the 'hanged priest' was cut out due to keeping the movie rated for all ages.
I like the part where he talks about dehydrated grapes, its from his earlier movies.
As it happens, I agree with every one of these edits. Usually when I watch deleted scenes there are one or two I wish had been left in.
As it happens, I agree 100% with your comment. Usually I disagree with people over what should of been cut.
