Oh my fucking God, I understand deleting scenes is part of the making of a film. But who thought deleting this was a good idea?
It gives you a condensed review of their past.
Jack was sailing under the command of Becket.
    Becket gave him a ship.
When Jack sees what Becket was trading for the company, he betrays Becket.
Becket hunts Jack and destroys the ship.
Jack being in love with the Sea and the ship, makes an unholy pact to Davy Jones; Jones brings back from the Locker the ship, Jack is now captain of the Black Pearl.
In two lines of dialogue, you get the past of Becket and Jack, the reason why Jack made the pact to Davy Jones, and the birth of the Black Pearl.
Why the fuck would they delete this?

Jack served under Beckett because he saw the pirate his father had become, and chose to not partake in it. But not having to transport slaves was worth getting branded as a pirate.
And not far along from Jack becoming captain again, he gets marooned on the rum runners island, shredding any chance of him doing the right thing. The only man who properly stood up for him, Bootstrap Bill, gets strapped to a cannon and tossed to the sea.

0:35 (It adds more mystery and creepiness to Calypso)
4:33 & 6:46 (Reason both are together is one cannot be saved without the other. It adds more to Governor Swan and James Norrigton's characters since the first movie while also showing how desperate Jones desires death.)
11:00 (Is there anyone who cannot express this enough? Much like the previous scene, this one adds more to the character that is Lord Cutler Beckett. It also explores more into Jack's past.)
15:05 (Just to add more humor to Jack and Barbossa's rivalry over the ship as if they were kids fighting over a shiny new toy.)
16:34 (This is something very valuable. Jack's first lesson to Will about the life of a pirate is what one can do and what one can not do. And considering that the two never had an alone time to chat after this, it would also serve as Will's final lesson from Jack. He could follow Jack's plan or he can not follow Jack plan which could ruin everything. Sure, in the end, Will still became the Captian of the Dutchmen, but I do not think he would have gotten that far if not for Jack's planning.)
17:31 (The last scene I would keep mostly because it shows us that Jack is still affected by the Locker and the first time we see Gibbs questioning Jack entirely as his friend instead of his quartermaster.)

When Jack and Beckett are making the deal it stayed implicit after Beckett aks " what is you intention with miss swann ? " I guess 18:30 clarifies a litlle bit

Yes but it still doesn’t make sense. It didn’t make logical sense for Beckett to want Elizabeth. Well I suppose since she’s pirate king he would have leverage.

I mean not necessarily. I like the 3rd one the best but they're all kind of equal to me. The reason the 1st one is equal because it has the best writing. There's a really good video by Stephan krosecz that explains how every scene does at least 2 thing at once whilst the other 2 are just really good movies that flow well because they were shot back to back.

@@jarofdirt8359 I think you are wrong because in second movie there are cringe island bases and fantastic things are very fantastic. Curse of davy jones, heart in chest etc. Also in third movie there is multiply jack scenes and more scenes include top of fantastic. Yes maybe they are funny, not bad but if we look these movies from first one , tcotbp is more serious. Therefore a lot of people says first one is the best. Because everything is serious and of course there are some jokes but it is limited and these jokes was made at right times. Briefly, in my opinion in second and third movie there are lots of fantastic cases and this situation change the serie from adult, serious, classic movie to the child, very fantasic, commedy. However, i like all of them except 4,5. ( Btw im from another country, i hope you understood my words)

A.C. Crispin wrote a prequel to the Pirates movies, "The Price of Freedom," that incorporates a number of things said in these deleted scenes, and also helps explain how Jack came to be a pirate. It's not a perfect book, but it adds a lot of flesh and texture to the people we know in the movies. It also explains Cutler Beckett, and why he turned out the way he did, to the point that I actually felt a degree of sorrow for him.

“HER” … this all makes sense now. Beckett knew Jack had feelings for Elizabeth so he made his reward for betrayal her. And also why Beckett asked Elizabeth in Deadman’s Chest if she was trying to save Jack… to discern if she felt the same way and he could use their feelings as leverage. But she did not. Also why he said “was it a marriage interrupted or fate intervening?”
