As a Jamaican, it is so easy to take a bullet for a Ghanaian, for they treat you like family. Nigerians want to be seen like some kind of a different race - likely white. It is not easy for Nigerian culture to bond, even among Nigerians themselves. I wish we have a debate between neutral brothers like me in the west, or in some other continent that meet different African people. Nigerians are hard to bond with other black people.

Oga, you're one-sided since you're of Jamaican- Ghanaian decent. You're amongst the few saying that Nigerians find it hard to bond with other black people. Someone being proud of their culture doesn't make the person proud. I disagree with you on the culture bonding. The Yorùbás in Jamaica are of Nigerian decent. You can go ahead and take a bullet for anyone you wish, it's not a must to like a Nigerian. You not liking them doesn't make them bad.

@@qinspride5795 I have never been to anywhere in Africa in my life. I have met many Africans, in Jamaica, in America, in England and in Bermuda I met Ethiopians.
I am saying that I rather be honest. I will face whatever people think is generally problematic with the mindset of Jamaicans because we are not perfect.
People are ALL THE SAME but cultures are different. In England or America for example, as a Jamaican, if you need someone to trust, you would trust a Haitian, a Ghanaian or a Kenyan. Why? Are they different? No! Their culture makes them behave in a certain way and believe certain things.
Let me repeat this FACT that WILL NOT be contradicted. Maybe it will be easy to understand, because, for some reason, a simple thing seems hard talking to you, and you tend to assume a lot and then answer based on a lie you create in your head. You say I am a Ghanaian for whatever you have against Ghanaians. We get along fine with Ghanaians and with Nigerians generally but our issues, the black British issues, the black American issues, the Ghanaian issues, the South African issues tend to be with the Nigerian.
There are things about Nigerian culture - Not Nigerians - that are making it more difficult to blend with the rest of the world. I have never seen another group of black people that call black people slaves based on the atrocities of slavery, including the bad things they also did against their own. But now they can see it as a superiority talking point.
My brother told me that it happened to him before it happened to me, SO YOU MUST KNOW ABOUT IT TOO. It is a MALCULTIVATION to believe that people you sold in slavery are slaves so you don't like them. Which other group of black people do that? I beg you to tell me? MALCULTIVATION. BAD CULTURE!!!
You argue based on emotions and not facts. Everyone don't hate Nigerians out of the blues. That does not happen in the real world. I am Jamaican, and I swear, I travel A LOT, and I get A LOT OF PRIVILEGE WHEREVER I GO, even among other races, JUST BECAUSE I AM A JAMAICAN. We meet others - wherever we go and we want to be one, we go with ONE LOVE.
Ghanaians are similar. Your atitude is important. Our parents told us these things as a child. I had a Nigerian girl before, AND I AM NOT ASKING THIS I KNOW. She will see someone who looks poor and underprivileged and believe it's a reason to not like him. Nigerians say they don't like Jamaicans because Jamaicans are slaves. WDF does dat????

  • @highthoughts1
    @highthoughts1 8 месяцев назад +13

The problem with this entire video is that it is completely one-sided. Everyone has their personal stuff to defend. Nigerians are not exactly the beacon of light in the world as this video makes them sound. They are people as everyone else. If there seems to be a condition where Nigerians are being attacked in other countries, due diligence is to observe the root causes and come to an amicable solution. This video is not shining a proper light on the mindset of Nigerians.
I have met a few in Jamaica - but most Nigerians I ever met were in England and America. Usually, they are typically 'different' from other Africans...maybe, they have a more likely ratio to be involved in illegal activities than a Kenyan. As a Jamaican, we are also seen that way, but I am not going to act biased on it.
When it comes to prejudicial thinking though, Nigerians are the only Africans that believe in stuff, or say words that will be very insulting to the integrity of the other person. It is not because they are different. It is just that their culture is different.
For example, in England, a Nigerian family could easily have died because of insulting other black folks. If you are a Nigerian then you must know that this could happen. My brother warned me, but I love Africans, so I did not listen. I went to help a Nigerian family FREE OF COST, that could not afford home repairs. Right there, in front of me, while we were working. They stood in my presence saying they hate Jamaicans because Jamaicans are slaves, just as if I was not there. These are the things that cause serious violence, as can any other racist attack when I am there. God worked a miracle that night, but I learned. It is a painful history about how the people in that area sold us out to slavery and when Britain decided on emancipation NIGERIA WAS THE ONLY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD, AS A BLACK NATION THAT PROTESTED IT. The petition claimed that it would wreck the Nigerian economy.
Maybe a part of the problem with Nigeria, just as a part of the problem with racist white folks is MALCULTIVATION. Everything in life is not about who invest what...

      @qinspride5795  8 месяцев назад +4

@@qinspride5795I am Jamaican, mind you, and your platform is an open one. There is NOTHING in what I said that can remotely amount to a hate speech. We are all in a black struggle and bias cannot fix anything. If you did not get the things I said, go ahead and reread and then LOGICALLY, NOT EMOTIONALY, question or debunk my points.
There are so many things that people say about Jamaicans that are true. We Jamaicans don't lie and beat around the bush to look better than our brothers. I know 'a few' South Africans, many Ghanaians and Kenyans and twice that number of Nigerians. I said that Nigerians are MALCULTIVATED when it comes to human relations and it makes them A LOT OF PROBLEMS when dealing with other black persons. In fact, I have a Nigerian friend in England - a brilliant scholar - economics.
This fellow had so many problems with the fraternity, and did not even know that talking down to people because of education, plus shouting, is not kosher in the open world. The day he began to see through my advice, all his problems were solved.
I almost lost my life saving a Nigerian woman from her jealous partner because I hate Nigerians - Right? That abuse thing is a part of a Nigerian MALCULTURE. I see this too many times with the men.
Nigerians and Ghanaians are close relatives, but Ghanaians have a more UNIVERSAL CULTURE. Meaning, they are more compatible out in the world and will easily get along. They are sensitive and understand how to deal with others.
South Africans have a problem, Americans have a problem, black British have a problem and Jamaicans have a problem ALL WITH THE SAME DEMOGRAPHIC. NIGERIANS!!!
Is it hate? No! It is a problem...
People treat you how you treat them. I told you that NIGERIANS STOOD BESIDE ME IN ENGLAND AND SAID THEY DID NOT LIKE JAMAICANS BECAUSE JAMAICANS ARE SLAVES. THAT IS THE HATE SPEECH - NOT WHAT I SAID. Imagine the kind of anger this cause. It's a miracle why it did not escalate. I have never heard a black person call another a slave, but from the lips of Nigerians - MORE THAN ONCE.
INSENSITIVES! Ask the black Americans the things that Nigerian do talking about black history in AMerica as if they know and siding with white folks. ASK THE BLACK AMERICANS!!!!!
And as a Nigerian you already know the history of Nigeria's protest against emancipation when their petition to the British declared that it would crush their economy. Then for a Nigerian to be saying that to a Nigerian.
A white person would not wear a shirt with a crocodile bait in a black persons presence because we all know the history. Nigerians have problems VERY OFTEN with HUMAN RELATIONS among their own people AND EVEN WITH EACH OTHER, especially privileged and less privileged. It is a part of your society and you do not even realize the difference. Other people in the world do not tolerate certain attitudes.
      This is UNQUESTIONABLE FACT!

You're partly correct, yes, If your properties are destroyed, Depression will set in. Another thing in Nigeria is that there's also this unspoken competition about youths developing their lands themselves. So, a lot of people would want to enter places that are in need of Nigeria market or countries with hard currency like the western world. In Nigeria, Many Families have more than 1 person or 80 percentage of family members returning hard currencies to develop our communities. No one wants to rely on govt so, younger generation also want to travel and make more money (currency) for those that can afford the relocation fees to the west. Those who couldn't, travel to other African countries with the need for a lot of products being imported by Nigerians from China since China and Nigeria do have the trade partnership.

There is a video of a Nigerian girl asking about investment in South African by the Nigerian government or Nigerian corporate business company in to the South African economy. You know what she found zero investments. Now Im not talking about individual investors who maybe investing in self gain and owning small business and making personal profits. Most shops don't even have South Africans in them so I don't know what you talking about when you mentioned investment in our country.
Every second or third drug related or scam related crime case in South African the is a Nigerian behind. I am truly not surprised if my fellow South Africans are Xenophobic towards Nigerians, Most Nigerian are good people and are well respected in communities that they serve in a good light, they understand the South African way of doing things and are well received in those communities.

    • @qinspride5795

So, is there any south African government's investment in Nigeria, except the Private companies who're obviously there for their own gain. Listen, your people are xenophobic to every black foreigner. The areas with heavy Nigerians before had been depopulated. After NIGERIANS left, your people faced other foreigners. You will always look for a scape goat for your woes in your country, but look at the Whites in your country, they're there mostly illegally. Have you seen the documentary about the activities of the Pakistans in your country?, yet, you don't carry matchets to drive them. The said drugs Nigerians bring, who buys them. Your people and the heavy cartels in South Africa. Who owns the highest and strong drug cartels in South Africa?, they're the Western and European cartels with your own people as workers as well as their own men. A xenophobe is a xenophobe. If it's not you today, it's cos you're giving them. The day you Stop, that's the day your nightmare will begin. That's whom your people are.

Their Xenophobiais is with reasons, Nigerian like playing victim, so they stole this word and used it for their own benefit as usual when they were not even target in the past Xenophobic attacks.
South African private direct investment in Nigerian is a indirect investment by the South African government. The South African companies are after all listed with The "JSE" Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

Oga, Is it a hidden fact?, Aren't some of our people back?, Don't SA know about our people there. Some didn't even return to Nigeria cos of the reasons I gave and their government assured Nigerians that such won't happen again. Their women who married Nigerians entered into protest. Some cried when their lovers entered airpeace and they promised them to return and pick them. Are you aware that they even refused Nigerian government from taking back those that returned to Nigeria, they knew it will affect them economically. There were issues back and forth even when airpeace had landed in SA, their government refused granting approval for our people to leave while pleading with the Nigerian govt. It's a known fact. I spoke the hard truth. Will you abandon your family?, will you abandon your contacts completely... It's been happening for years. SA xenophobia didn't start today, yet Nigerians are still there. Even the one that happened 4 years ago, are some Nigerians not still there?... Not everyone in a country is xenophobic, some are still friendly, Though the actions of many made many Nigerians to leave but some went back though I feel they should not invest there again. That's the simple truth and they went back for genuine reasons. Some went to finalize their businesses, some are still doing business. Let's not make it look like SA is a death sentence. Infact, the news about it was already in the newspapers before now.

@@qinspride5795 I love your reply, but always push the Truth... Which your stated here.
      1. Some Nigerian are professional doing their works, they will always come back to s.a.
      2. Some are businesses, genuine ones
      3. Some families due to inter marriages.
      4. Genuine visitors that will come 2 weeks to 3 months.
      5. Educational, which is researchers, universities etc...
      6. Sport men, and artist .
      7. Leadership and political.
These set of people will always go back....
My case is that, some ignorant people will think say our people no wan come back, and they target them, or hunt for them, meanwhile their people are also engaged in crimes and drugs....
