These coaches look good, nice addition. These coaches remind me of the series of static models in Z scale by Atlas Minitrains, if only they did complete static sets in N that would be a cheap way to expand too. I've seen people convert these coaches to rolling models for their layout 😄
I have done a static N Gauge model before, based off my O2 class in 2mm FS for someone, though thinking maybe something a little bigger might appeal to a wider market for those that want a display piece! And glad that you like the coaches, do think they look nice , more so when my Dad wants to see a GWR engine run round the layout heh
@@GosportRailworks The ones I'm referring to were collector sets, quite nice too. In N I can only find static locomotives and occasionally I buy some. They do make great models at a depot and if you find the right chassis you have another cheap model for your fleet 😄
Oh I think I know which ones your on about, something like the Del Prado models right? Did buy a LBSC J Class one of them with the thought of motorising it, but it does need a fair bit of material removed to get the mechanics in there! But yeah they would make good static props to fill out a depot!
@@GosportRailworks I wouldn't bother with the steam engines. Seems basically impossible to motorize it but some locomotives have potential for it. If they only did complete sets like Atlas Minitrains it would be a cheap way to get coaches too 😄
True, though have heard of some doing something with the J Class, but I'll just 3d print it at this rate anyway heh, but yeah just seems they're alright for single vehicles, bit too pricy for rakes of coaches etc

James. A very good objective review. (Not that I'd ever buy anything Great Western). Pete.
Cheers very much Pete, and don't worry, will only feature western coaches only once in a while heh
