This is the oscilloscope view of my Palmtree Panic Past remix from Mother's Day (in the month of May in the US). All samples used are from EarthBound.
Red is for Percussion (One mixed sample with Bongos, Djembes, and Tambourines)
Blue is the Bassline (Low Notes) (Onett Guitar)
Yellow is the Echo, plus Sine Wave Lead (Flute, Piano, Sine)
White is the Main Melody (Flute, Piano, Strings)
Cyan (Greenish-Blue) is the first harmony channel, the Sine Wave echo, and Lead 2 in one of the last parts of the video. (Piano, Sine, Piano)
Magenta is the second harmony section (Piano)

although i do want to ask where the melodic toms and the sine/triangle wave come from
I think the sine is just one that came with the EB soundfont. As for the toms, I don't remember (it's been years since I last looked at this). Let me see for a second.
Edit: Either it's a bongo or djembe with a lot of clipping in the sample. It's in the description.
@PKSuperStar256 the sine sounds more compressed than the one that's in the game
@@superdean9966, that's every sound in this since I set the interpolation to be deactivated to sound similar to the sound chip used in the Sega CD (when CD audio isn't used), causing the "crunchy" sound.
That and me possibly compressing the sample so it has less data to make it sound "crunchier".
Even then, you can use any sine wave since it's the most basic wave ever.

Nice Remix! I Never knew how the earthbound soundfont works well with Palmtree Panic Past. I guess nintendo does what sega don't.
That's the exact reason I made this remix, some of the instruments sound like some of the EarthBound instruments, namely, the Sine Wave, Mellow Piano, and Strings.

Nintendo makes good games but bans fan labour.
Sega has made bad Sonic games recently but they permit fan labour. Yakuza 0 might have the best recent Sega games as of today.

I've never played Earthbound, but this is nice.

Man, I love the classic Nintendo style music, it has a bit of a DS vibe going on, which I absolutely love. Even though I don't know the song, it makes it kinda nostalgic. :)
