  • When a giant opossum got unexpectedly loose inside a Brooklyn bar, one fearless woman sprang right into action by hoisting the critter by its fur and carrying it back outside bare-handed.
According to onlookers, the woman, later identified as Sara Fulton, approached the opossum ‘without flinching’ and even said, ‘Hold my phone, I’m from Alaska.’ 😂

I removed one from the road once , it was hit by a car and nobody stopped to pick him up and away from the road, bit when I stopped to avoid others to run over him, two other people also stopped and helped, even a lady took him with her and told me she will take him to a sanctuary ❤️

I raised a baby possum when I was a teenager and she was no more than 2mo old when my Mom and I found her. Her name was "Toka" she had all her shots & exams. She was litter box trained, slept with our cats and played with all the kids. I was always terrified of possums and thought they were vicious and gross, but when you raise them as babies to adults, something changed my perspective of them and everyone else that met her. She lived for almost 10yrs and then she passed away in her sleep. I would do it all again if I had the time because she was actually really cool and chill, very quite, very affectionate, very smart and also gentle!... They are very, very clean, have super soft fur, eat just about everything and sometimes very goofy!... 🥰

Same thing happened to me at a coffee shop in San Francisco, only it wasn’t an opossum, it was a pigeon. Everyone was screaming and freaking out, acting terrified of this pigeon, who was also freaking out. I have had birds all of my life, so I just walked up slowly to the terrified bird, grabbed it with one had while still holding my bagel in the other hand, and let it go outside. People act like they’ve never seen an animal before 🙄
