Hi guys, in case you miss it, the shade I'm testing is 22N for the foundation vs Light for the CC+. The foundation looks lighter on the back of my hand but actually becomes deeper than the CC cream on my face, so take note of that if you are choosing shades! There are more shades in markets like the US; but only 12 in Singapore.
You are correct about it getting a shade deeper as it dries down. It’s very noticeable in the lighting where I work. I did go to Ulta yesterday and had someone help me shade match. I told her my concern about how it darkens. She helped me find a much better shade. I love the formula! I’m 58 with normal skin and an oily T-zone. I do blot my makeup in the afternoon and it definitely helps keep the shine off of my nose, chin and forehead. It does appear that the price has gone up about $5.00 since I last purchased it. As long as it continues to look good, I’m okay with the price. I used to use the CC Cream but I prefer the foundation. It gives me a soft, satin look to my skin.
So glad you're enjoying the formula Lisa! Yeah, sometimes the slightly more velvety finish is just more flattering and low-maintenance cos it stays put better!
If you use the cc cream , a little trick to get it more out of it… is to cut the tube when it pumps no more, and use a makeup spatula to take out what you need. I get two to three days more. I put it in a little clean empty jar.
Yeah it happens for me too, cos of how humid Singapore is hahaha. So I usually have to touch up or "fix it" in the middle of the day by rubbing any smeared areas out. The foundation is definitely much lower maintenance than the CC!
@@IamCandiceKC ok, just tried this today and it’s so much lighter on the skin than the CC cream. It’s very natural and I don’t need a lot to get the light coverage I need to cover redness on the nose and textural issues on my t zone. I had to set with a setting powder and that gave me a good 6 hours on my oily t zone before I had to blot. I like this more than the CC cream now as it is lower maintenance and more natural looking. So I agree with everything you said in your review!!
Yeah it does a good job of making skin look polished without drying me out like a lot of other foundations with this liquidy texture, so I'm quite happy they launched this!
I can’t remember why I never tried their CC+ , not sure if it was hearing it breaks some ppl. out with acne or what. I have normal to dry skin and shave my face which has really helped keep my face balanced and clear. I would definitely try the new foundation if I found my shade. I think we’re pretty close to depth and tone so this is very nice for me to have found your videos. Thanks again for a detailed review. I love learning new things too. Xoxox
I found that the foundation was absolutely useless and watery. It was horrible and I can't believe how expensive it is. I love love love the cc cream amazing.
Wow your reviews are so good and thorough. Love love! I'm trying to decide whether to get the itcosmetics foundation or the new chanel les beige foundation. Which one do you feel is more hydrating and blurs fine lines better?
Hi Rydia, so sorry I missed your message! Not sure if this is too late to help but the Les Beige is definitely more hydrating, but when it comes to lines, it depends what sort of lines you're dealing with! If you are generally still young and have little bits of crepe-y texture here and there that become noticeable after a few hours due to dryness and expressions, then the It Cosmetics may be better at blurring and staying put. If you are VERY dry or higher in age, and your wrinkles and visible dry texture are constantly there even when not making expressions, you may have a better result with the Les Beige as it has more of a glow and adds more hydration overall.
Just came across your comment Wondering if you tried any of the two products yet? I got a sample of the chanel les beige and liked it but have not tried it cosmetic.
@@vimarieriverairizarry5261 hi! I have pretty dry skin and I tried both and loved the les beige way more. The it cosmetics was pretty dying on my skin and it emphasized the fine lines on my forehead; whereas the les beige felt and looked more hydrating on me. Hope that helps!
Hi Kan, usually foundations down to their true color within about 2-5 mins so it's usually visible even on your hand when it goes a bit darker as you blend. Otherwise, you can apply a fresh swatch beside a dry swatch and see if there is a noticeable difference in the color. That will show you quickly!
Thank you for your advice!I'm really trying to find a foundation that looks clear and clean like everyone on RUclips dose my makeup doesn't dry like yours dose?
You can! I've not tried these 2 together specifically but I've mixed the CC+ with many other matte foundation formulas to make them less drying/matte and it works. If you want an in-between formula that's more demi-matte and satiny, go for it!
Hey Pye, let me have a think! Actually it's tricky cos so far, no foundation is mask-proof, it's only how much or little they transfer, and how patchy it looks after some of it comes off. A lot depends on whether you are using a tighter mask and whether you live in a warm place as well. I can try to do a list, but mostly the self-setting and matte ones will be more transfer-proof than the ones that are dewy and/or high pigment, so it may not be too surprising or helpful haha.
@@IamCandiceKC thanks for your thoughtful response! I feel like all masks create a sauna on my face even though I live in Germany and it’s cold at the moment. It would be good to hear your thoughts about how the self setting matte foundations hold up to their long wearing claims! Popular ones right now seem to be the latest NARS and the too faced matte born this way. Then of course there’s the classic EL Double Wear and Maybelline is coming out with a new 30hour superstay. Personally, I haven’t had luck with the EL double wear against masks at all even with my most effective setting powders and sprays! Wears off poorly :(
@@pyewacket9265 I know what you mean!! We're breathing steam on our faces constantly and the masks also irritate the chin and jaw area. For me, the NARS has worked pretty well, and EL Double Wear Nude was great as well. I notice the slightly sheerer formulas work best cos they are quite light and thin and don't rub off easily. Regular Double Wear is heavy coverage and thicker, so any breakdown from sweat and steam becomes very noticeable for me too.
Thank you for the comparison. I am exactly in the same dilemma as I want to get a new foundation myself. I live in Singapore as well. I have used the CC+ cream and the product moves a lot as I sweat a lot. I am thinking of give the foundation a shot
The foundation moves much less than the CC+ for sure! I'd give the foundation a shot cos Singapore weather (and wearing masks) is no joke! Let me know how it goes if you do try it out!
@@katieghoul0092 The CC+ cream was heavy for me. I did not try the foundation yet. Beacuse Fenty dropped eaze drops and ot was just I needed. Light weight and coverage and lasting
Wow super helpful comparison. Thanks! I'm here nodding! I love the CC cream and was considering the new foundation. That blurring soft focus effect is no joke!
Glad it helped you! Yeah, I was totally shocked the first time I used it when it just "set" and I didn't need much powder LOL. Really not what I was expecting!
@@IamCandiceKC I have normal to oily skin in Chicago winters but this looks like it will transition well to my oily-oily seasons without being "matte." I try not to use a lot of powder and blot more often. I will have to try it.
@@MsSavvy9 I do actually feel this would be especially suited to combination skins because it's so light but still has some hydration. Do let me know how it goes for you if you do try it!

Let ME know what you love though; at least I have more of an idea where to start!
It deepens a bit when it sets (quite normal) but I didn't experience it oxidizing and changing color further through the day personally! At 06:30 in the vid, it still looked about the same, color-wise, as it was at the start of the day. Of course I cannot guarantee it may not on different skin chemistries or in different weather conditions, but so far it's been pretty good at not changing color noticeably for me!
