I saw you Billy in 1986 at Maple Leaf Gardens and you and the band were unbelievable, especially when everyone thought Steve was going to play "Eruption" by EVH, then it came to you, and you played the tapping outro to that EVH solo on the bass. That was mind-blowing. I remember right before that, the big rectangular lighting rack on hydraulics came down right above you. that was incredible. I got my money's worth that night on Halloween. I was at a Car Stereo expo in 86'ish(Corpus Christi Tx),I heard the entire Eat Em and Smile album BLASTING through a demo car stereo rack.My mind was BLOWN!I set out to play bass like THAT,from THEN on!VERY few bass players can play THAT fast(3 picking fingers).Not even the most popular/famous one's!Great stamina too!Billy Sheehan is a living legend!
All i remember is hearin that bass on Elephant gun the first time,....then i listened to eat em & smile about million times over the years,.....Vais best ,...roths best,...billys best,.....damn a three piece!!!!!!

They captured lightning in a bottle with that album-song after song. Yankee Rose Band and Van Halen (w/Sammy) were my favorite bands !!
