We Take on HUGE Waves with Our SVHO's

- Sometimes life throws you something unexpected and wonderful! This was the case on a recent trip to Florida with our Waverunners. It just happened to be while Hurricane Grace was making her way across the southern Gulf of Mexico. while the weather in Destin was still beautiful, the waves were huge.
We initially wondered if we should head out the East Pass to go play. After we did, we did not want to stop. Enjoy the video and let us know how you like it. Haulover Inlet . . . eat your heart out!

It wasn’t a good idea to watch this before bedtime. My blood is pumping. I’m ready to ride. Just broke our twin 2022 FX cruisers svho’s in yesterday. Looking to take them out of Jacksonville Fl where we live. Awesome video CAPTAIN wish I was in the video as well.

Looks like a blast. Love seeing someone pushing their limits, but doing so responsibly mot just hitting it full speed. Musta been an awsome adrenaline high for sure.
It definitely was! I can't imagine what it would have been like going full speed. Probably would have ended up in the emergency room. LOL

I have a 22 fxho which I have riden thru a wave following sea on the Chesapeake which even took my hat off . New to the channel its great . Helps me get thru the off season.

About how fast were you going on the way out and on the way in? Cool video!
We were not going very fast. I'd say around 20 mph or so.
Do you happen to live in the Destin area? If so, I have some questions about FX HO vs SVHO gas (I'd love to get the SVHO, but no 91 at any local marinas I'm a aware of) and if a Yamaha Jet Boat would do well here or if the seagrass would cause it issues?
I do not live in the Destin area but I am there a lot. Yes, you do want to use 91 or higher octane if you have an SVHO but it does not have to be marina gas. I fill mine up at the gas station most of the time.
That water looks Bahamian. Amazing waves.

How big of a concern is the nanoxcell 2 hull with big waves like that? Any problems w yours, or what do you do to protect it? Was it any better for the 2021?
I have had no issues at all and I don't do anything special. Just keep it clean.
Man, any other machine other than a Yamaha FX cruiser SVHO and you would have been in trouble. I could have imagined you would have died if you were riding a Seadoo!
LOL!! I will say that I was real happy with the way my machine handled the waves. There were times when I wondered if I could handle it but never did I question my ski!
@@TheShipsLogg How tall were the waves, they look like they were about 2 to 3 feet? It is lots of fun to play in the small chop, you will get used to it in no time.
@@R1Kyle the waves near the entrance were 3 to 4 but as we got a little further out, they were 6 to 8 foot until we got past the breakers.
Have you ever made a video or gone over the camera set up you use and possibly editing software? I've watchd many of your videos and the quality seems very good!
