Here’s our guide on how to buy your first pair of skateboard shoes! We’ve all been there before: you’re a beginner, swamped as you look at a shoe wall full of options.
Basically, it comes down to personal preference, and what will fit you best. A cupsole shoe may suit you if you’re hopping down big stair-sets, but may feel like a pair of bricks on your feet.
On the other side of the spectrum, a vulcanized shoe may provide you with greater board feel and grip, but may be too floppy on foot.
