Active Directory Essentials: Navigating the Object Database for IT Pros

  • We will explore forests, domains, and trees in the world of active directory. We will look at tools, concepts, and the strategy in active directory design. Why DNS, RPC, and Kerberos are so important to active directory. What is an object database and why active directory uses the Jet Blue database engine? We will look at the complex services, protocols, and components that make a working active directory. Microsoft provides many tools for IT professionals to manage their AD environment.

    I would ljke to watch all of these, even though I know most of these things, I watch stuff like this to find things that I might not be aware of... hopefully you keep mentioning the ins and outs of the more rarely known tips, tricks, and also any common problems that you have found and solutions for them.
    Also using tools such as performance monitor is something i never had time to get really into. Setting up data collector sets and configuring all the different options and measuring capabilities of these is something I would learn from. Thanks.

    Wow another IT subject that I understand. I use to go to a University library in the late nineties that had computers that could only be internet accessed with a student login and password, now I understand why it was being done The sub domain is a zone off the TLD which resolves to the A name , that makes sense

    Wow look at that windows server 2008 r2 Active Directory Adding Server Roles and Features. I would not want to be working on that domain controller because I used to be troubleshooting Replication failures and errors almost daily back then...
