When I come across people like that my first thoughts are you can't fix stupid. I think your videos are awesome. Your informative, your clear, to the point and extremely honest.
I'm not sure but I've heard that there are automatic computer programmed "bots" on RUclips that sometimes thumb up and thumb down videos at random. So sometimes a thumbs down can happen without a person actually clicking on it. Technology and websites like RUclips are extremely complicated and there are lots of bots and things like that online, so that's always a possibility.
@@RobertF- That happened to my brother once. One day he just got a thumbs down on every video (he doesn't have a ton) on his channel, but he's views hadn't increased at all. It was really bizzare.
@@MariaRevArt Exactly. RUclips has a few bugs and bots and the like/dislike counter is not always entirely accurate. It's the only logical conclusion, no sane person could dislike any video on Jason Morgan's channel.
Thank you Jason, I am new to pastels and have been given a set of pure colours. You have just answered the question I’ve been searching for. Much appreciated 🤩
What a revelation! You got perfect mixes. Ive had my Pan Pastels for a long time, and had no idea....you just increased their value. Thank you for your excellent vids!!
I subscribed a couple of weeks ago based on the amount of valuable information you provide. This video is a case in point: I recently gave myself permission to buy some PanPastels. Immediately upon using the first color, I could see the richness and intensity of color. In deciding to buy more, I noticed that the colors came in sets of tints, shades, etc and I bought the pure hues thinking that I could maybe mix them. And lo and behold, here is your video demonstrating that very thing! Thanks so much for the detailed information you freely provide.
I would just like to say a big Thank You for this video. I went on Amazon and looked for the starter 10 pack with black and white and got the whole set for under £20...yes really I did...they must have been old stock but have arrived in perfect condition and I love them.🥰
Thank for this video I have wated loads over the 4 years . tomorrow all going well I hope to buy set of 20 pure colors . thank you for sharing .Happy Bank Holiday 2024
I was scratching my head looking for information on this very subject, even went looking on your channel earlier tonight. Eventually decided to buy some online, couple of hours later your video slides down my screen. If only I had seen this beforehand. Never mind, I will join your patrons page and ask on your Facebook page next time I need information.
Well I joined, and I want those who read this to know I'm more than impressed. Others I have joined in the past only give you part of their tutorial and then want you to pay for the next tier up to finish the project. Honestly feels like I'm paying them to advertise to me rather than help me.
This is so helpful. Thanks for demonstrating, and for the tip about using a microfiber cloth to clean sponges. In the US, individual pans are closer to $7 than $5.
If you buy them open stock they range from 6-9 but on Amazon as sets they're generally a bit cheaper. So I'd go that way if you can afford more than a couple at a time
I realized this a while back when I really wanted the skin tone set but no one had it. There was a great deal of open stock but they were out one of the tints (I think it was red oxide). For a while I just kept mixing white and blender to get what I wanted and it worked well. So I went ahead Jason I bought the basic colors. I do have a question for you. If you wanted to build (I have the 20 set of basic colors and the skin tones set) how would you go from the basic colors? Tints or Shades first? Which one do you think is more difficult to achieve from mixing? Eventually I want the whole set but I am not sure I need the "extra shade" when I know I can just add more gray or black to get what I want. But the tints seem like a values because I feel like I am going to go through a lot of white and blender to get them right. I would love to hear your perspective.
I'm building my set up based on the colours I mix the most. I need shades more frequently than tints, so I'm going for a set of 5 of the extra darks in the ones I use very most, so I can mix whites in too make them lighter. But if the shades set was better priced, I would be getting them, but the cheapest set I can find is half over again any of the other sets...!
Outstanding as usual. New to this, is there some brand you prefer? Do you get what you pay for with these? Thanks so much, Jason. You're a doll! Subscriber from Florida USA
I was annoyed when I bought the entire set just to find out it was the same color with white or black added to it. I already know how to lighten or darken colors I would have found it easier if they included more colors like faber castel instead of just same color with black or white.
Obviously, having the entire colour set in front of you it's much easier and faster than having only 20 pure colours and must mix them in order to get the final colour before using it. It's not the same, plus buying the whole set means that you don't have to buy any other panpastel colour for the rest of your life. They will last for ever.
Funny how I always get that one quick thumbs down. Even though i am giving out free info that Will save people money. 🤔

Why diverge all the energy and attention to the small percentage of dislikes when most of us do appreciate your work?
Excellent. I love all of your videos. I've purchased some of your tutorials and plan to get more. The best!

Thank you for doing this. The mixes you made are close enough for me! That saves a significant amount which is appreciated.

Very helpful, thank you Jason ! So if i undestand, we need to buy only the colours ending by the number "5", these are prime colours.
that is correct
Thank you . Creating a mid tone and a darker tone + a lighter tone ! . Endless possibilities

I found places closer to $5 ;o)
Ali C in the US right now, September 2019, they’re around $5.25 a piece at

Thank you Jason, very useful information. Brilliant.
This video is a big help Jason thank you.
So helpful. Thank you so much!
COOL!
You can take it one step further too. Red, blue and yellow, the three primary colors along with white and black should make all the colors!
Funny, I expected a reddish orange, that's what the colour looks like in the pan.
I did not expect a yellowish orange.

I feel a bit scammed. Most people assume 80 colors means 80 colors not 20 colors.
I don't mind the price though I think this is a great product especially for light shading with a make up brush.
