saying this because I read the comments under one of their MVs and was surprised to see no praise for soyeon. I was surprised because I read the description and the credits were ALL her name. many stans hype up idols although they have the least credit among dozen other song writers. and I was disappointed to rather see a hate comment saying soyeon is greedy because she gave herself the most lines. that was the only comment about her and it left an impression on me.
I love her individual approach to everyone, shows her detail and eye for each member. I also love how they don't take offense and deliver on her advice. Such a great team honestly
@@chib3395 It's usually supposed to be like this. Singing live is not controlled like in studio, but studio is where the most hits will come from generally speaking. When touring, I bet they do good, but they don't get big cuts from touring like in the US our artists get a cut from touring sales.
Soyeon is so amazing. She has such a clear vision for what she wants out of a song AND she knows how to communicate that effectively to the members. She knows exactly what to tell them to help them convey the exact right emotions and how to coach them if they’re not quite getting it. I love the way she mentors Shihua here. She’s extraordinary. I love seeing how her face lights up when they nail it the way she hears it in her head. And she holds herself to the same high standard for her own parts. You see her demanding more takes from herself to get it right just as she would for the other members.
This is honestly soooo interesting, I like that she's really specific with what she wants but her approach to each member is tailored to a way that they can actually understand what she wants them to convey.

I know very little about (G)I-DLE so please do not take this as being rude. But, is Soyeon the leader? She referred to the others as 'unnie' meaning that they are older. Usually, one of the oldest, if not the oldest, in a group is made leader. Or am I missing something about them?

Soyeon is not only a singer, songwriter, composer and arranger. She is a mentor, a leader a queen, a rapper and so much more. She is one of the only and probably only kpop idol who can speak multiple languages, write their entire groups discography, rap at insane speeds, be the leader and have almost all control over her label. That’s an empowering woman to think about. And not drag another group into this but in really see these traits in baemon’s asa. Asa isn’t on soyeon’s rap level but with only 3 raps Asa has risen up, Asa has written SOME of batter up & sheesh showing SOME writing talent. If Asa starts to compose and arrange I’ll be even more proud to see the future kpop descendant of Soyeon as Asa. Asa’s supposedly the leader but I can’t confirm that.

In addition, she does not produce songs only for her group, but also for other artists. It was also thanks to her song that CLC won the first award in their history in music show. I think the easiest part here for soyeon is that she knows very well her members voices. So it's easy for her to know where to put and how she would distribute the lines. It may still sound hard but comparing to other things she would do like thinking about melody, rhythm or lyrics I think distribution of lines is the easiest.
Line distribution seems like the easiest part yeah but they still work for hours recording/getting the story/tone/message/feeling right. Its almost like an acting job-class its still a lot of work but your right soyeon has said multiple times that she writes the parts specific for each member based on their special abilities and what they do best and since she knows them so well its not that hard for her :)

Damn watching Soyeon work reminded me of an old supervisor I had that no matter how much i couldnt get it correct always worked with me to improve. They never got pissed, never talked shit, always encouraged and just enjoyed the job. Shes one of the main reasons gidle are as badass as they are. And Shuhua is freaking amazing

I love seeing how her face lights up when they nail it the way she hears it in her head. And she holds herself to the same high standard for her own parts. You see her demanding more takes from herself to get it right just as she would for the other members.

Soyeon is not only a singer, songwriter, composer and arranger. She is a mentor, a leader a queen, a rapper and so much more. She is one of the only and probably only kpop idol who can speak multiple languages, write their entire groups discography, rap at insane speeds, be the leader and have almost all control over her label. That’s an empowering woman to think about.
And not drag another group into this but in really see these traits in baemon’s asa. Asa isn’t on soyeon’s rap level but with only 3 raps Asa has risen up, Asa has written SOME of batter up & sheesh showing SOME writing talent. If Asa starts to compose and arrange I’ll be even more proud to see the future kpop descendant of Soyeon as Asa. Asa’s supposedly the leader but I can’t confirm that.

In addition, she does not produce songs only for her group, but also for other artists. It was also thanks to her song that CLC won the first award in their history in music show.
Soyeon is not just a producer or rapper. Everything that appears in each of the mv was her idea. Even clothes, nails, hairstyles, climate etc.

K-pop doesn’t need pretty idols with only good features but they definitely need JEON SOYEON!! It’s so great that she knows every member’s talent and tries to make them shine equally!!! Hope people realise and appreciate such talents instead of comparing idols due to their looks and body shaming the idols…Because talent is what matters and idols like Soyeon should be known and appreciated!!!

I think the easiest part here for soyeon is that she knows very well her members voices. So it's easy for her to know where to put and how she would distribute the lines. It may still sound hard but comparing to other things she would do like thinking about melody, rhythm or lyrics I think distribution of lines is the easiest.
Line distribution seems like the easiest part yeah but they still work for hours recording/getting the story/tone/message/feeling right. Its almost like an acting job-class its still a lot of work but your right soyeon has said multiple times that she writes the parts specific for each member based on their special abilities and what they do best and since she knows them so well its not that hard for her :)
@ChoKimSooJeonSongYeh Yuqi and Minnie's voices are so different but Soyeon thought of a way to make their voices blend with each other despite the contrast.

Damn watching Soyeon work reminded me of an old supervisor I had that no matter how much i couldnt get it correct always worked with me to improve. They never got pissed, never talked shit, always encouraged and just enjoyed the job. Shes one of the main reasons gidle are as badass as they are. And Shuhua is freaking amazing
