Amazing sound Brendan! I notice the bass pickup on the 4001 is closer to the end of the neck than on the 4003. Do you think that makes any difference to the sound?
Thank you Steve, I think the 4001 pickup position has a little more depth. I think the position changed when Rickenbacker temporarily switched to truss rod adjusters at the body end of the neck as the 4001 was changing over to 4003. The truss rod adjusters went back eventually to the nut, but the one inch neck-pickup gap remained.
@@stealthracer -far from pathetic, that’s an awesome instrumental track! 👍👍👍👍👍❤️ Did you do all the instruments? Really liked it, but I’m a sucker for Western themed instrumentals!
Fantastic sound, that Rick is in amazing condition for its age, well cared for obviously 🥰
Thanks Alan, it's been a trusty friend for many years and practically part of the family. 🎸

Thanks Brendan. My pathetic attempt at a Ricky sound can be found here:

Not bad at all, I enjoyed that. 🎸 🎶
I did too, great instrumental that reminds me of Steve Howe’s western themed song, Diary of a Man who disappeared.👍
