I'm from Slovenia, my mother is half Macedonian half Slovenian and my father is half Croat half Serb, i speak Macedonian, Slovenian and Serbo-Croatian and i understand almostly all others Slavic languages more than 50 %, especially Bulgarian, Slovak and Russian... i'm so proud to be a Slav. Слава / Slava / Sláva from Slovenia to all Slavs around the world.
Selam Roj Bash. I am an Iraqi Kurdi and i really like you Slavs and your Culture, you are Great people and lol its funny that Slavic Languages has Words that also come in Iranian Languages.
+SanyarKurdBiker Selam, Polish nobilyty from 16th, 17th century were manifested theirs origin in sarmatism culture. They believed that many Polish nobles were somehow descendants of the Sarmatians, who were a part of an old Persian nation. And for me, as a Pole the Persian language is the most familiar from all middle east languages.
+SanyarKurdBiker Well both languages are based on the proto-Indo-European language, which splits off into a bunch of spreading branches which all go off into pretty much most languages you'll find, including the Indo-Iranian grouping, of which Iranian is one in the first split (the other being Indic) and thus close to the similar, much how Polish, Russian, and Serbo-Croatian are all part of the first (and only) split from the Balto-Slavic grouping. tl;dr, Iranian and Russian are split of from the same language.
Celts and Serbs are brothers...Serbs and the Celts have more than 4,000 common words that are either exactly the same or very resemble each other. From Celts were moving across Europe were created bohème and the Moravians in the Czech Republic, Belovuci in Germany, Lombardi, Italy, Belgium, Bretons, Irish, Welsh, Scottish ...In Belgrade, we have Celtic cemetery 2000 years old ..We are brothers
our past is so intricately obscure ,, no written records prior to Christianisation of our tribes in reality, we know nothing about our Pagan ancestry, and yet we still feel a sense of cohesion ;) interesting.. slawa!
that's the way i'm thinking too, when we learned in school they told us about 3 posibillites where croatians came from xD....we came to europe as one without any writing system so today we know very little about us and our beliefs in that time, but for example it's cool how we all have similar languages and some culturac acpects... slava brate! :)
Petar Franić Bracie, Slavic people had few writing systems, but guess what "good christians" made us forget. They gave us the alphabet, which was not suitable for our language (in this time I believe, or maybe earlier, there was only one, more or less similar praslavic language). And now we know exactly from where we are - search for genetics, haplogroup r1a1.
Im with the slavic people i met a few slava people here in texas very traditional, and have a good hearts, just dont mess with them they will fight you anywhere, yeah i got to hang out with a buddy named miro he loves vodka straight.
Don't go starting arguments. Republika Srpska is the constructive part of Bosnia and Herzegovina and as such, it's populated with people of Slavic origin.
Kad vec spominjes knjige, procitaj si malo o npr. bogumilima i ostalim poganskim sektama u Bosni.
I am a Irishman born and breed my roots go back to the old days of my clan McGrath when we drove the Vikings from Ireland with the great high king brian boru
I'm Irish, Russian - American as well. Brian Boru is an Irish hero, who drove the Vikings out of Ireland. Where Kiev-Russ and Novgorod were Viking settlements. Eventually the Slavs drove them out too. Celts and Slavs = Brothers! :D
I agree. I'm American of both Irish and Russian decent. Both Celts and Slavs have much in common regarding history and culture. I have met many Slavs here in the US. I must say they are very smart people, who strive to get somewhere in life. Every time I bring up the Irish, whiskey, Guinness, and dark ales. They seem to love it and can't get enough of it. They also are not big fans of the English either... Anyways, Celts and Slavs = Brothers and Sisters! :D
The West since the middle ages would rather us be divided and separated. In modern times they cite the Soviet Union and Imperial Russia as tyrannical governments, yet they conveniently forget the success of the Polish Commonwealth. They remember Martin Luther as a great Church reformer, but they conveniently forget it was Jan Hus (a Czech and a Slav) who inspired him. We Slavs were once very powerful when we put our religious differences aside. We all once had a common religion and language that we shared before the non-Slavic people forced us to convert to theirs and divide our languages to keep us down. We must acknowledge our roots as an Indo-Iranian people. Peace to all my Eurasian brothers!
Thank you sir. Brian Boru of Ireland defeated the Vikings in the west, Where as the Slavs embraced viking culture and eventually drove the Vikings out in the east. Celts and Slavs = Brothers! Cheers! :D

Bubba always made the best borstch , sashlik, holepsi, and veriniki and for the young ones watered down vodka. Sitting down to this kind of meal always began with a prayer. O holy Father protector of the Slavic race shield us from sin the Turk and all things unclean ! May this food make us remember the poor and how blest we are . Amen. Bubba always said this prayer at Easter and the table was always heavy with food and the kolach with the three candles for the meatless meal the night before we went to ST. Basils'. Alas Bubba is gone alone with my father and mother but I carry on the traditions with my daughter who has yet to make me grandchildren by Gods Grace.
