A while back I drove the mental Kona N with 280 hp (see video on my channel), but even while it is slower, I guess this i20 N is now higher on my wish list now...
Really surprised by how much fun this mini hot hatch actually is to drive, and how good it sounds. And how lovely the interfaces and driving settings are. And how good the sound system is :)!
Also there's a lot more cargo space in the back than you'd expect and there's even more leg room than in the Kona, no idea how that happened.
Too bad there are only 150 reserved for Belgium, even none for The Netherlands. And that it is already sold out. Guess people knew that this i20 N was going to be something special...
This is a true competitor for the Ford Fiesta ST and the Toyota GR Yaris, which one would you pick?

Man is not super fast but is unique best of any class cars stability flat sound top but i30 n or Elantra or Kona is top but still small brother is doing well job u buy car for enjoy and everyone look at u ask what car is like happened kia optima now k5 stinger many ask what brand is is real kia make that's cars that make u happy when unique many sheep's buy cars what they tell them fake best seller or follow Moda but in fact u ask ur heart with best for and for what u need the car depends Cash I trust cars real only Hyundai kia Volvo Mercedes c class or new c43 and bmw only new m3 wagon and 235i Gran coupe and if u want fast best stability flat cupra formentor VZ 4-5 both is beast and best easy tuned up to beast and Audi only s3 rs5 top trust with closed eyes
Had one since September 2021 and driven +20.000 km. By far the best car I ever had. Its a gem really.
How is the Quality of the seats - do you See any signs of wear and tear?

@@Affenkatze77 there is a little wear on the driver side seat but it's not too bad. They seats themselves I like alot. For me it's a good balance between 'sporty' (supportive) and 'practical'.

Love it Johnny, wondering for a new car to pick up and I’ll definitely keep this in mind.
I20 N is car with soul, which is a very rare trait these days.
Even our budget version has suspension set on quite sporty note, while handle well, it is extremely dependent on the quality of the roads, N is much, much stiffer by trademark, ride on paving stone surface in historical center must be a real rock&roll.
Which one do you have? I mean which one you call "budget version"? ;)
Standard I20, great vehicle btw, car is bigger than most people think, able to transit 65' TV in original packaging, while 5th door was opened only by inch or so.
@@GinoFoto Sounds very good, I was looking at the standard i20 as well, but the motor put me off to be honest, to weak for my taste. :)

@@claudiadavies5110 Many new hot hatches are good and I am sure this is too but Hyundai doesn't have the heritage of manufacturers that have been around for decades for example Ford or VW. For me I don't think being good says it's going to be future classic.

@@johnnypovdrives Yeah, unfortunately they stopped making the Fiesta ST in the US I believe in 2019. Focus ST/RS is gone as well.

I can imagine this car is perfect for Australia. From a mix of the major citys with sharp turns and many lights to the outback where it can stretch its 1.6l legs and really bring out its rally bloodline

yes we can get it in Australia, i should be getting mine withing the next week or two. they stopped taking orders last July (2022) though so you will be able to get one either on the 2nd hand market or if you ring the dealers there are a few cancelled orders from people who have got fed up waiting (i have waited 13 months )

@@Morten54 i am glad that is not that hard in Germany at the time, or else i would probably never gotten my i30n :D I really sorry for you guys. Yeah but i think this will come in Germany too at some point so atleast i got the chance to get such a fun car still in time and enjoy the sound and the generell feeling off the combustion engine before it is too late.

I have a big doubt, the i30N seems much more like the car I want, and the sensible choice as I do need the space for travelling but the i20N's interior is so much more up to date that I am quite unsure on which one I should pick.
The i30N is discontinued.
@@DariusIlves No it is not discontinued. I can still buy one fresh from the dealership. And even if it were to be the case, I would buy one used. Never new.
To be honest there all amazing. I choose the kona N over the i30n as I found it more unhinged and it nearly killed me with torque steer, accelerating up a hill😂. But there all beasts.
The Kona is like a elephant 🐘 that is a master ⛸️ and mentally unhinged in N mode. The shifts are so quick and the car is mental. The i30n was good but not quite as insane. What makes kona so mental is SUV on steroids.

No, just standard cruise and that lane assist to keep it within the lines if needed for long trips 🙂🙂🙂

Ground clearance is a problem...not a perfect daily driver. Depends on where you live. Great car though!

These are only being produced in two countries and they are being sold in numbers in the mid 2 digit marks which is harsh for a car this good.
So unfair. My Elantra N-line 1.6T doesn't have all that N stuff including a LSD
