    Well, as far as the Sacramento area (and many other areas) is concerned they knowingly built in a flood plain, built levies to control water flow but didn't keep the levies up properly and over built. When you build for profit instead of longevity you'll end up with disasters every time. Water flow can be controlled to a point but is destructive once it overpowers the constraints... building near water flow is convenient but is a ticking time bomb... Weather cycles in California have always been extreme, drought to excess rain a pattern that will lead to flooding, erosion and mud slides, it's common sense not rocket science. I grieve for those who are and will suffer...

      People ignored Noahs warning of the coming flood and the need of repentance as that system of things was wicked and there thoughts were only bad all the time and that's why God was going to destroy it with the flood. It says they were to busy with daily living to TAKE NOTE.
      If anyone listened to the warning message and repented of their badness they could have escaped.

      Much of what falls in the mountains will be snow which will eventually top up the reservoirs. A lot of rain will fall into the the central portion of California, which is a very flat valley, ideal for rice growing. The rainfall there will eventually replenish the aquifer or drain off to rivers. There seems to be a widespread belief that Californians are ignorant about the fundamentals of dam building, flood control, and water management. It is not so.

    Gotta love our California major cyclical weather. Our Family has lived and operated agricultural businesses since the 1800's. We have always had severe weather sun cycles stories, through all our generations.
    From unbearable droughts to this major flooding and seemingly endless rains. California has it all. Just as all the States Eastwards of California receive the storms we get. Enjoy the water and cold. We will get heat and drought again. The question has always been for our businesses of agriculture "I wonder how long this cycle is going to last?". But the water stores we created to provide us through the cycles has been hijacked for mostly river runoff for fish. So good luck with human food sourcing and the massive inflation it has created.

    • @rhp_6926
      @rhp_6926 Год назад +4

      @@rhp_6926 If you rely on any agricultural products from a store, yes. We have seen many shortages already from last years cut off of water to agriculture. This was and still will be due to allocations of water regardless of weather, to "save" any possible smelt of the delta. All other considerations are secondary. Such as rice etc..
      2022 many crops were not allowed to be farmed due to water zero allocations. All those crops will now be 2023's food shortages and cost are already foretasted by industry to be higher than now for 2023...

      @@rhp_6926 In an average year, California receives 200 million acre feet of water from precipitation. Of that 200 million acre feet, 100 million is allowed to flow down river to the ocean. Of the remaining 100 million acre feet, 50 million acre feet is set aside for conservation, i.e. Salmon, Delta Smelt and others. The remaining 50 million acre feet is divided up between agriculture (40 million acre feet), and residential/business/industry (10 million acre feet). These numbers are now changing with agriculture being the most impacted. Farming/ranching has almost been eliminated on the West side of the Central Valley. The largest burden of conservation has shifted to residential use which historically receives a fraction of the 10 million acre feet mentioned above.
      Inflation has many fathers, water can be one. If you produce less agricultural products or any other necessary products and keep printing currency, you end up with an inflationary scenario, i.e. too many dollars chasing too few goods. I think that was her intended point.

People saying Cali residents are wimps during storms, then calling us the disaster state with mudslides, fires, drought and earthquakes in the same breath ARE funny though. Different landscapes equal different outcomes during storms also. Maybe you would be surprised to learn that the Sierras get some of the largest snowfall amounts in the country, and then when it gets hit with heavy rain from a 2nd storm, it all melts , and flows down steep hillsides to cause flooding in the Central Valley. Same thing happens on a smaller scale near the coast, minus snow, but major landslides after fire 2 months earlier. I do wish people would stop comparing and realize every place has its challenges they might not see from afar. We also pretty much ran out of good places to put reserviors to cope with drought, and still more people move here, and the solution to housing prices to everyone seems to be build build build. Enough people, I say.

You are confusing weather (single storm) with climate (erratic temperatures, more intense and common major storms). As a gardener, I can tell you right now that seeds can't germinate over a certain temperature, never mind lack of water. That's new. If you have too many hot days - no food can grow. my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14. Americans have forgotten the MOST HIGH ELOHIM. Most perversion starts in Cali and spreads throughout the world. America is under judgement so don’t be surprised at the Calamities that are coming.

      so... be humble and seek god's face in the shape of the natural world, turn from those foolish and ultimately wicked ways that despoil his face / his creation, use his wisdom to protect and strengthen his creation, and seek to live harmoniously with all things... then we are forgiven and our land will be healed?

      Pushing fear and pushing socialist agendas is what California does best. However I think people are wrong about California just sliding off into the ocean or breaking off I believe what's really going to happen is due to seismic activity mixed with the flooding mixed with liberals being too concerned about the color of somebody's skin more than being concerned about keeping everybody safe where does it get a break up into several small tiny islands At least those of us who survive will survive on tiny islands

    Why is that guy yelling like he's still forecasting from Reno? My main concern would be the levees in the Sacramento area. I'm nowhere near there, but if the levees fail, it could contaminate the water supply for a whole lot of people up there.
