Dude seems super chill. Classic radio sounds of my childhood.
Bryan is such a humble guy
Too humble for his own good.
yea thats not at all what i gathered...especially at the end...he is an asshole, there are other interviews where he is super disrespectful as well
he's Canadian. not too many of them have big heads.
Waking Up The Neighbours is a fantastic album. We need a remastered deluxe CD edition of it. Great album.
And Into The Fire
there is a Remastered Japanese edition of 2013 with one bonus track...
@@giulianocallemangiante5064- Really? Got to look for that
Saw Bryan Adams Back in 1981-82 at the Montreal forum When he opened up for Foreigner .
Great interview! Been a fan of Bryan Adams since 1982!
i been a fan since 81....u cant beat that
Mutt Lange is the greatest producer of all time. He knew how to bring the best out of the musicians and produce true timeless art. Neighbours is my favourite Bryan adams record
I remember Seeing Bryan Adams at the America West Arena that the NBA Phoenix Suns Basketball Team Played at in 1994 . He had this Glass Laser Ball on the Side of the Stage that would shoot moving multi color Laser beams into the Audience on songs like " Heaven " or " Can't Stop This Thing We Started ".
I met Bryan twice here in Halifax, NS , Nice fella. The first time I saw him was in Jan 85 at the Halifax Metro Centre . I've seen him about 8 times, His live shows are amazing
This is great. You are very comfortable with Bryan and also in the Phil Collen interview. You come across as unpretentious, and interested and passionate and genuine. Very good. I’m sure the legends you interview really like speaking with you.
Wow I appreciate that! Honestly I’m a fan and also happen to know my stuff, and the artists appreciate that I think... 🤘🏻
@@JeremyWhiteShow , I totally agree! It's refreshing to watch someone who is not just knowledgeable about the artist and their music, but is also clearly a fan! You ask questions that many of us would want to ask ourselves, and we fans appreciate it! This interview with Bryan and also the ones you've done with Phil Collen are just really fun...thank you!
You are my favorite! Greatest RUclips channel ever. So genuine, with full of passion. True fan from Norway 🇳🇴
Amazing! It feels soooo short, I would listen to Bryan talk all day long, he seems such a nice guy...I also love making records, so when someone gives that insight on people as Mutt Lange (love his records with Bryan but with Def Leppard, AC/DC or The Corrs too) I cannot stop listening.
Great job, Jeremy!
Mutt Lange is the GOAT. Waking Up The Neighbours is a masterpiece.
The construction and perfection of the songs shines through. You can hear every note counts. Hysteria is his Mona Lisa IMO.
Agree about Hysteria. Phenomenal album. 3 incredible ACDC albums as well. With a few exceptions they are almost the only 3 ACDC albums worth buying. Mutt is the vocal master. Can't believe how bad Brian Johnson sounds on other recordings. With Mutt he's incredible.
I was stoked to find a copy of Waking Up The Neighbors in a record store in Spain a few years ago! Being a 90s album, you never see that on vinyl here in the States. And it was cheap - only, like, 10€ or 15€, if I remember right!
Very nice interview. I have loved Bryan’s music since the early 80s. I was grateful to see his videos on MTV as a teen. I had seen bryan a few times on the “waking” tour and he puts on amazing shows. I was lucky enough to be front row to see him and def Lepp during the 2005 baseball park tour. Luckily I happened to pass some fans after the show who told me Bryan was at his tour bus signing. I couldn’t have gotten there fast enough to have him sign his program for me which I still have to this day. My only regret was not asking him to have Keith and other members sign the program. But blessed I got to meet one of the greatest musician/songwriter ever. God bless Bryan Adams.
You sound so awesome!🎉
Huge BA fan...saw him in Sudbury ON just as he was breaking huge.....Luba was opening act.
Saw him a few years ago in Kingston ON (his birthplace)...in a venue comparable in size to the one here
He and the band came out ...and just started playing and rocked
...no bullshit or trickery ....just an amazingly solid band ..with Bryan's perfect vocal leading the way.
Keith Scott is such a great player.
Great interview
..love to hear anything Mutt...was just listening to some Tony Platt interviews re:Highway to Hell....Back in Black etc
Mutt's sale numbers are astronomical
again...Great interview ..and channel.
I'm sure this interview and all the BUZZ you created around one of my favourite producers/songwriters was the key to the new Mutt influenced/co-written album by Bryan....thanks Jeremy!
Haha I’d like to take credit but doubt I had anything to do with it… if anything it brought awareness that there is a hunger for more Mutt in 2021 and he’s as relevant as ever!
Oh gosh thank you for asking the Mutt Lange questions!!!! Love this interview
I learned how great Mutt was when I happened to examine the producers on my favorite records. It was always him - My best ACDC, Def Leppard and Heart album(s) all Mutt.
Great interview! Mutt and Bryan make magical songs together.
First concert I seen Greece in mid 80s. Great concert he did a great performance. And I seen many metal bands
He’s a great interviewer that listens and is polite.. I love Mutts work and it’s no wonder he and Malcolm young got on so good because they are both perfectionists.
totally agree my fav bryan adams album plus my fav album ever
I got to see bryan in concert twice, once indoor at hershey park arena, and once outside at hershey starlite pavillion, the second one was my daughters first concert. both shows were fantastic, bryan and his band played them all an didnt cheat anyone out of anything when it came to music. i would rank his concerts probably 2nd an 3rd, behind Boston's corp america tour
I grew up in the 80’s and Bryan Adams and AC/DC were a big part of it. He still looks 30. Mutt is a Genius that’s for sure.
Wow, you know your sh*t! You nailed those questions. Well researched and knew what you were talking about. Great job! Back in the late 90's Bob Clearmountain had a website and you could email him questions. I asked him about WUTN, and he said that "it was a shame to use the programmed drums. A waste of Mickey Curry", but it was just part of the sound. He also said, the drums were fairlight sounds, being run by an early version of Cubase on an Atari.
This is the first time i've heard it confirmed that the drums on WUTN are a drum machine.
Wow, that was an awesome interview with Bryan! I learn a lot about making music from this stuff.
Grew up listioning to him in the 80's songs like 'Run To You' and 'Heaven' they would play that song at my junior high dances. Helped me with the girleis lol.
3:56 Mutt sure is. There is a Mutt Lange Def Leppard song with pretty much the exact same music as a Mutt Lange Bryan Adams song.
Bryan Adams - Thought I'd Died And Gone To Heaven 1991
Def Leppard - Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad? 1993
When I was a teen my favourite records were Bryan's albums and Def Leppard too. Now I prefer the earlier recordings because both Leppard's and Bryan's Mutt-era is a bit too over-processed for my taste. Sometimes listening Def Leppard makes me think that it is much more about the sound than the songs themselves. Hearing Shania Twain for the first time (with so similar sound) my first thought was that the '92 Bryan Adams sound was not from Bryan but from Mutt.
Cool stories about those Mutt albums. Will revisit them properly. Would love to hear what a Rick Rubin produced album for Bryan sound like. A totally opposite approach.
Cut to March 2022 and Mutt is on the next album/
Wow!
Very cool!
Ayyy thanks Jim! 🤘🏻
Great job, sir! Really informative, great questions. Cheers!
I'M SOOOOOOO Hippy HAPPY IT HURTS !!!
Waking Up the Hysteria holds up pretty good.
Def Leppard says Bryan is the 7th member of Def Leppard. Mutt is the 6th of course.
Hey Bryan, release Let Me Take You Dancing digitally and on disc,
Bryan was probably thinking, "Uhh...any questions about me and my career, or is this going to be all about Mutt?"
He hasnt put out anything worthwhile since waking up the neighbors so talking about mutt would be a lot more interesting
Would someone PLEASE ask Bryan if he is ever going to put out a deluxe version of "Into The Fire" like he did for "Reckless"??
I think you and I are the biggest Mutt Lange fans in the world! If only we could hang out with him someday. Just go hiking in the Swiss Alps, chat about what inspires him and enjoy vegan meals together! I would live to look at the books in his library, the records on his shelves, and the food in his fridge. I want to learn everything about Mutt!
Mutt is also a Southern african..The wakeing up the neighbours for him includes an elephant tribe.Bryan he schooled you well.Very musical writing skills combined with music.Seems like Mutt made music win over lyrics
You forgot. "Its gotta beee loooove"
Mutt had the midas touch for a while there...
Come on Bryan, bring back Mickey Curry. No disrespect to Pat Steward, but Mickey is special. The band doesn't sound the same without Mick.
Too band Waking up The Neighbours didn't feature Mickey, other than some overdubs. I guess a machine grooves more than the mighty Mick. Lol Can't argue the with sales though.
Why mutt convinced him to settle with the drum machine is beyond me
Agree! Can't agrue with the sales though.
yet correy taylor hates mutt says hes what the french call laz e compe taunt
Think you're thinking of Rick Rubin. Corey has no experience working with Mutt, but he has praised several records that Mutt had a hand in so I have a feeling he'd geek the f**k out if he got to work with him.
@@tommurrayGTR you may have won this round simpson.
the drums on that album are kinda over-the-top. lol. don't get me wrong, I'm a huge B.A. fan, but that drum sound reminds me too much of Def Leppard and it's hard to not hear that (and cringe) every time I listen to WUTN.
Good interview but dude let him finish his thoughts before you cut him off please. You were just a little too excited.
Yet he made better records with Clearmountain
Sorry, but there were not 100 tracks of vocals during the course. 48 tracks on each channel? Bullshit.
Why in the hell is he saying that? To impress people? I don’t get it.
Great album, but it should have started with Track 3. The first 2 are definitely filler.
WUTN was not a good album. There are 15 songs on that album and only 4 of them are any good. Reckless was a great album but the guitar tone was hollow crap. Into The Fire was Adams last good album. Cuts Like A Knife is by far his best record, every song on it is good and the guitar tone is good. It's a masterpiece and the title track is his best song and video.
I agree, to me unfortunately he's strictly an '80s artist as in my opinion the last truly great album was '87 I haven't liked anything since then, sorry Bry. :) Artistically, Mutt killed off his career though business-wise a huge success but Bryan was already doing fine in the charts and certainly as a vocalist he didn't need to become a Joe Elliott clone and do Def Leppard type music, for me musically this was the last straw and several steps backwards making their meeting a match made in musical Hell, combining some the worst elements in rock'n'roll. Sadly, at least by the sound of it here he's stayed on this path ever since it just never made any sense to me, why degrade oneself this way.
