The Atari Gamestation Pro is the only thing they put out I’ve liked (with the latest firmware). The handhelds are really overpriced for what you get. The fact they sell the Street Fighter handheld with a Genesis rom blows my mind.
Personally, I kind of like this. Even if the resolution is mildly bad, if you want Mega Man on the go, this is a good deal.
Dude it is not 2004, we are in 2024, so there are way better options than this crap...
At least I hope some kid gets this and gets into Megaman or retro games. The old composite only AtGames Genesis was pretty shoddy sound wise but it did get me into it's library on the cheap when I was 13 years old. That's not to excuse the poor quality tho.
At least its 6 games. The street fighter one, you get genesis roms, and the d pad disc thing doesnt lend itself well to fighting games.
Now, if they made one of these with say NES RPGs like
Final fantasy, zelda 1 and zelda 2, startropics, destiny of an emperor, magic of scherazade, i would get it.
I wonder if companies have given up making devices that work well because so many people just buy these things to keep in the box and display it only.
If the screen is all you have an issue with, and the games still play fine and the buttons are responsive, I wouldn't call it a total loss. Mine is coming in a couple of hours. I have the Atari one too, I wonder if you think that is crap too considering how great it is but still has the same screen. Mine has that screen too but I can deal with it easily by not looking at it on an angle while playing.
This is pretty good because if you want all 6 mega man games in a handheld format, its great.
I wish you could use save states but the battery life is great on this unit.
It’s looks cool for a Megaman collector but for something to have for shelf candy. Not really what I want but the game collection and presentation (besides the screen) looks good.

Yeah they'll be using the Game Boy versions instead and still had a terrible screen, screen tearing, no colors, and bad controls.
That episode with the Nyko game player has got people really bloodthirsty.
The $20 400 and 1 Chinese famicom handhelds have a better screen lol
I've heard people compare My Arcade to being a modern-day tiger electronics. I think there is truth to that. The advantage of these handhelds is that you can give them to a kid, and if they eventually break them, then it's not too big of a deal, and they are very simple/idiot proof.
3:45 Shame we live in a time where we can't be trusted giving kids battery-operated things that don't have screwed-in compartments. I miss my 80's childhood when we lost those doors easily!
I have the Galaga Nano Player Pro by My Arcade. I like it.
MyArcade is always hit and miss. They have quality products but, also put out their share of junk.
Wait, this product is bad? Ah, that's so sad. I made my own design and pull on trailer for this on Facebook a long time ago, probably a year or two ago, and the final product seems to be near identical to what I envisioned. 😢

@@VOAN Heck, even Xbox and PlayStation have versions. The PS5 and Series S and X, while lacking dedicated versions, are backwards compatible with Legacy Collection 1, ensuring those can still be played on the modern machines anyway.
So sad, looks like the perfect gift for any mega man fan, honestly personally i don't mind the price and the lack of included batteries and all that, (i make a lot of money from my job walking dogs) but the screen is a bit concerning,if you want to try it i recommend getting it from somewhere you can return it with a refund in case you dislike it. Personally i think i might enjoy it, especially since the nez emulator on my phone runs a little slow and you have to keep the sound off or else the game will be even slower and the music sounds all choppy and broken so this would be a nice upgrade for me, i wouldn't mind the screen too much but they definitely could have done a better job.
i didn't know the screens were boo-boo on these.

It was kinda cool that it came with a cable that allows you to connect 2 of them together and play 2 player but since I don't have any friends, I haven't tried that 😃

For just a few more bucks you can pick up an Anbernic RG35XX and have way better controls and build quality. And access to thousands of retro games.
That's actually how it looks on the original NES
The streefighter II and Space Invaders are the only 2 I can say are decent especially the controls for SF2. Downside about the SF2 is it also uses that cheap screen. They really need to spend a couple extra hundreds for a new screen update and all their handhelds will finally be decent.
My theory with these is that they are using the same screens they use for their vertical oriented units like Pacman or Space Invaders because if even if you look at the screen straight on, one of your eyes sees less than the other. An that does not happen if you look at the screen tilted 90 degrees. I got the SF2 one.

I got one on ebay for $60 that had an SD card with thousands of games in it.

My main complaints is it does not come with a power adapter. And you have to use a screwdriver everytime you want to change or just take out the 4 batteries that are in two separate compartments instead of just one.
Really a shame cuz a lot of thought went into the design and details of the box and player with a nice form factor. This company has the licensing hook ups and all the abilities to produce a quality product but seem to always fall short just like the couple decades of what we received from that at games company.
I am a huge snob on sound emulation and I can at least say that the sound is actually accurate which is more of a win than it should be but it is a win on these devices.
They should make a sonic hand held and ruin it next .
I have this and its amazing. I just wish i could hack it to add more games but sadly, there is no way to do so.

I don't get why these companies don't understand that they could charge 2X+ what they charge if they used QUALITY PARTS and a decent size screen.
Pro: At least you can Play the game portable more authentically, without Rewinding.
Don't buy the Street Fighter one, those are garbage too with the same garbage screen. Also on those you get the inferior Sega Genesis versions of the two Street Fighter games instead of the arcade ones complete with terrible audios that are as worst as the ones on the AtGames systems.

I love those handheld games but sounds like they need to improve on manufacture their screens. Maybe it should've been a little bigger and should be LED instead of those LCDs. THough it feels like those Type Cs must've been meant for something else, maybe it's not just for recharging, what if it's meant to link into a computer or something? Though sounds like it's a rip to have a bad screen. THey should've done it better with the screen. Hope capcom would choose another manufacturers that made better handheld consoles.

I bought the "My Arcade" Megaman mini arcade replica. ( newest version) . As a impulse megaman fan. But I'll hold off thus handheld. I only got the other thing as a collectors, not really play it

Just bought my gf ms pacman but the one that looks like a cabinet. I think those are cool since they display like a mini arcade. The screen could be better but its fr just pacman so not important as other games.

Wasn't this licensed? ... Geez. I don't like Megaman, but Capcom really just let's anyone put Megaman on anything. Were they trying to have their own Doom? It'll run on anything! Except... you know.. Megaman just keeps getting thrown on the trash stuff.

The Streetfighter one sucks. The dpad and sound is bad. Just spend the extra on the Hypermega Tech handheld. They're so much better and play Evercade carts.

For the love of robots, buy Mega Man Legacy Collection (the original) on 3DS or Switch. Has all six games. You’ll get a way better deal than this
Total e-waste. Trash screen, trash d-pad and they didn't even angle the B and A buttons to where they would egonomically sit under your thumb but actually angled them in the opposite direction so obviously designed by someone who had never even played an 8/16 bit platfotmer. I also like that you have to tear the thing down to get the for freaking batteries into it. Goodness, it fails in just about every way possible. I guess Capcom will just let people slap their name on anything for a few bucks.

The screen can just barely cope with Galaga and Pacman, but CANNOT cope with background layers scrolling: I've reviewed three or four (?) of these myself.
Plain black background = okay -not great, just okay. Mega Man is the worst possible match with this non-pixel-perfect setup.
My Arcade took a nose dive. A choppy emulated Mega Man on a tiny screen for 30 bucks? Get outta here. What's worse is My Arcade jammed 20 Atari games on another device, and act like it's a high tech achievement. Hey... it's better then their Mega Man scam.

I was refering to the newer Game and Watch's that Nintendo released like the Mario and Zelda models. I don't have the Zelda one but the Mario one works pretty good and has perfect Emulation. Yea those old Game and Watch systems ranked right in there with Tiger hand helds.@@bigbabatunde1218
The my arcade stuff looks nice as am ornament piece but the ports they do are terrible. I've bought way too many over the years but no more. The street fighter championship edition they released looked the part but had shoddy emulation where as the super street fighter 2 version that they have released is poor mega drive emulation wth my arcade get a grip!
