For months people been telling me to check out ren bro i only gave in a week ago and im hooked now....i even donated some money to him on his gofundme to help with his life saving treatment because he is fuckin special man....i havnt heard somebody this talented for a long time man
Ren is another of the generational talents from this era along with artists like Chris Stapleton, Gary Clark Jr and Aurora.
Ren calls this style Bardcore (it's a real thing). He has others in this style but also has true rock (a lot of covers but some originals) and some rap rap (remixes and originals). He is a busker. He's done it alone, with friends and with his band The Big Push.
Dude.. the algorithm finally threw you my way.. I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction.. and were sooo excited as I finally found another reactor intelligent enough for Ren (to be able to properly breakdown and understand all his bars and who would also appreciate his music) AND YOU HAVE NOT DONE ANOTHER REACTION TO REN 😳.. I think you are doing yourself a disservice (just my opinion).. Hi Ren is very different from his other stuff.. and you have to do a quite a few more to understand just how wide, deep and different his catalog is… now that our algorithms have aligned.. I’ll be keeping an eye out.. as hopefully you do decide to see a bit more… if you like Imortal Technique’s Dance with the Devil.. you might enjoy his trilogy The Tales of Jenny & Screech (full).. (Jenny, Screech and Violet… in that order.. otherwise you miss the big twist).. it is storytelling like you have not seen before)… then there is also his rapping and singing.. I have not heard a bad track from him yet.. and he has 10+ years worth of work.. most of it written whilst he was very sick and stuck in bed up to 23 hrs a day. (Through most of his 20’s) just give him another chance.. you really will not be disappointed..

Ren is one of the most important artists out of the UK in years. Affected by Lymes disease, he was misdiagnosed and put on drugs that really screwed him up. He lost so many of his teenage years, suffering disabling pain, so he spent years in bed, playing and writing. Thankfully, he's on the road to recovery. He is a fantastic story teller, singer, actor, artist. He has done a brilliant interpretation of Beastie Boys (What you want), Soul stuff (Ocean ft Eden Nash), and an absolute MUST is the Tale of Jenny and Screech, which must be watched in full, starting with Jenny, then Screech then Violet. Trust me, Hector!

Yes Jordan Complete ...as soon as I heard this I thought of that one. So similar yet so different. I had to do some research on this kid and found out he was very very ill from the time he was like 19 to a point where he couldn't even leave his bed as his pain was debilitating. He went from Dr to Dr seeking help with no improvement, only worse which then left him in a state of mental psychosis as he was left in constant crippling pain.

I have fallen into the REN rabbit hole since I first saw, Hi Ren. The genius of his body of work is mind-blowing to say the least. Like he said in, Hi Ren, he really is a genius. Having the No. 1 album in the UK speaks for itself. Hope to see some more REN reactions from u in the near future. Really enjoy your channel. You rock, Hector! Keep up the good work!
