Honestly I wish conventions had professional item checkers who looks over gifts streamers receive to check them for trackers. I feel like that should be a standard.
Unfortunately this this never gonna be the reality so long as cons have a profit first mindset. There's no profit in the safety of the livers or the attendees. At least not beyond the immediate venue. So once there's a gift exchange or an item handoff, so long as its not a bomb... they don't care.
Way to freaking expensive and time consuming. It's also not the cons responsibility. They will 'protect' you from immediate dangers, but they aren't doing anti-subterfuge. If everybody received just 20 gifts, and there are let's say only 20 streamers. That's still 400 items, each taking a minute to scan properly. That's almost 7 hours of a person checking items. Now imagine 100 streamers getting 20+ gifts.

I think she's overreacting in a lot of ways, but completely understandably. I think she'll slowly relax and be open to doing a lot of things once again, such as meet and greets. She'll probably also accept gifts, but only certain types. Things like letters, paper crafts, and the like that have no chance of having trackers on them. The worst part is her having to move houses, given they built that home. I kinda wish she would stay in one place, though. I wish she wouldn't move. Stay strapped and put in some security measures. I feel like those things combined would make her comfortable staying there.
She's not overreacting. Her life and mental wellbeing were compromised. Look at what has been continually happening to Keekihime. Not a single ounce of overreaction. That situation is scary as hell
I don't know man, lots of people know where streamers live, but that wouldn't be a reason for everyone to move once people find out. Specially if people know her face anyway
I don't think it's about someone knowing where she lived per se, but more so that the place doesn't feel safe after they actually suffered from an attempted break in. Our percieved safety is very paper thin, and it sounds like she hasn't been able to relax since it happened, so the only way to fix that is to move house and get away from the traumatic event
