+Addie Ramirez He was magnificent in his early 20s, but he has so much power and gravitas now. He gets better and better. I'm sure he will still be magnificent in his 50s and 70s and beyond.
As someone who has sang this song before in front of people and everything, you really do need a good breath and a certain range, you have to plane it all out before hand or you will run out of breath which happened for me a few times, and throughout the days when I was practicing my voice would say goodbye a little, and then I could only sing like one or two notes... That's it, not many people can do this song but AARON! AARON IS PART OF THE REASON WHY THIS IS MY FAVOURITE MUSICAL!
Neither can I. Let alone (for this number, during Aaron’s Broadway run) while running up and down narrow, steep metal stairs and while swinging from poles. And doing it 8 times a week.
You know what, I don't care. Get Next to Normal a revival. Or make it a movie. And get him to play sexy Dr. Madden. He'll be just as hot and sexy in his age.
@@zai9407 Imagine if that happened Imagine the edits of Dan!Aaron Tveit going "Gabe... Gabriel..." and Gabe!Aaron Tveit going "Hi dad" Idk if I would survive that
He sings most of these songs in his various performances like this one and his show at 54 Below, so they're clearly his favorites. I've never seen any videos of his singing anything from Hairspray. Wonder why.
he probably sings I'm alive and Goodbye a lot because he originated Gabe & Frank Jr, but I'm not sure about as long as youre mine, maybe just because Laura was there?
I saw only the Tony awards performance before and thought the character was actually alive and the dad was playing tricks on the mom and ignoring the son for some reason
he's like a fine wine, he gets better as he ages
💗🖤💜🧡💛💚💙
He has grown up so much since he played Gabe and sang this song and his voice has matured and HE'S COME SO FAR SINCE THEN IM SO EMOTIONAL

He's alive but I'm not. This killed me.
"I own you" YOU SURE DO
This song is very hard o sing you need a lot of control and breath. I love hearing Aaron sing this, because it's his original role

I can not fathom ever being able to sing with so much power. I could watch all these Broadway performers forever in awe!!

he's matured so much since he played Gabe. Aaron is truly amazing😍
I'm so jealous of that microphone
I'm jealous of his clothes!
He was so fantastic at Elsie! I hope he's there again this year.

yoyoeldas I actually would like better if he plays Dan, like imagine the scene of "I am the one (reprise)" 2 GENERATIONS OF GABE!!!!
@mariposita that would break my heart too much. No.

+Addie Ramirez He was Fiyero on Broadway in 2008-2009.
Hairspray also does not have many solo songs for Link
Most of Link’s numbers are either a group performance or a duet.
No no NO!! IM ALIVE IM ALIVE

I love this tbh I want to hear Jeremy Jordan sing this
the black cat woooooow yeah
Honestly the two of them would make such a power tenor duo, I think I would melt on the spot if they ever did a duet
Anrina, your videos are THE BEST! Your close-up filming makes the performances so much better. Thank you!!
+Gloria Shafton You're welcome! Glad you're enjoying them.

+Boooot You're welcome! It took a lot of work (and hurt, I'm in pain today LOL)! More to come!!

This made my day!! Thank you for uploading it!
THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! :)
I wonder what people who never heard of this song or show were thinking it's about, and how close/far they were.
