And as for people’s comments about needing drawers under the desks - I hate having drawers under my desk space - I always but them beside my desk. how about "Life to Loft" in a time like this, your story is inspirational in so many ways. more people than not have had their feet kicked out from under them in the last year, and when that happened to you it made you commit to your dreams and you built you a new future.

I have Guillion Barre’ caused by Fluoroquinolone toxicity. I live with intense pain. My brother finally convinced me I could not live remotely from family, so he built me a little apartment onto his house, I am so grateful but oh how small! I started looking at videos like yours to get organizing tips. I just fell in love with your work and videos. I needed the organization tips, but the more important thing was that I don’t like pain meds. I have seen too many people ruin their lives with them. I opt for heat and cold compresses, CBD cream and massage. I was so wrapped up in watching you work. I fount I could heat up several heating pads, massage in CBD cream and settle in to watch you work for2, 3 or more hours. The distraction helps me so much. You are such a talented little thing and so entertaining. I bet your momma is just bursting with pride! Anyway I am a huge fan and I am so grateful to have found something that I like so much that it actually helps block out a lot of pain. Bet this is one of the most unusual comments you have gotten! It might be too big of a task, but instead of sponge painting, I would look at Venetian plaster. If done well, it would look amazing in that environment.

Same with 50’s pastel shades, rattan, caning, bar carts, etc. Maybe I should just be grateful I was free of all that for a few decades. What I would really like to see from a designer and what would be possible in Team AG’s new space, at least for smaller DIY projects, is the same project in different styles. Take a DIY mirror for example, same basic concept but then show an Art Deco version, cottage, Boho, costal, minimalist, industrial. Yeah, well you get the point. Of course it’s much harder to do this with an entire room’s design. Although it would be possible to create different mood boards that show how different decor styles could be utilized in the same design.

What are you doing for heating and is the landlord upgrading the windows? My husband has a studio in a converted mill with similar windows and it gets very, very cold in the winter. Congrats on the new office space, what a big step! I’m sure it’s going to look great, there are some lovely items showcased in the plans. As for office chairs, I recommend smaller but still comfortable chairs with decent back support, these do tend to come in semi-stylish designs as well. The editor’s chair however should be fully ergonomic no matter the style, imo. And I do suggest staying away from faux leather chairs- I don’t know if it’s just me, but those things make you sweat all year around. Or maybe only the ghastly ikea ones do that we had at my old office, ugh. Good luck with the reno!

We have an old 5-story warehouse building here in Rochester NY, The Hungerford (formerly a syrup factory), that was converted into artist studios. I’ve had the pleasure of renovating 2 studios in my time there so I definitely feel your excitement! One of my favorite things is seeing old buildings made over for new uses - we have lots of those here. Have fun!
