Can’t wait for the sea trials of the new Carbine 24 with 450horses pushing it along. Great to see two small privately owned businesses thriving. Awesome video people. I can certainly back up Chris with his experience in his knowledge of boat handling, we used to do Rescue boat work together, at a yacht club in Victoria.
Lots of practical solutions were created for these boats, impressive for a fairly new manufacturer. The 'TOPGUN' seems to provide a comfortable ride. The way it handles, in the footage, at speed looks very inspiring. Solid hand-laid fiberglass and composite elements are great. This also makes it easier to repair should one run into something floating in the water for example, than a composite vacuum bagged construction. The front bolsters are nice and I like that the 6'bunks and toilet onboard are an option. That would make many crew members happy. A power race jack plate and a higher power/weight rating for the motor gotta get worked out, this boat needs 250-300 hp to really come alive. The ballast at rest is often not considered, but oh so crucial, on an ocean-going boat of this size, at rest. I dig not just the #CARBINE 600 #TOPGUN #boat, I dig their whole range, and the #FNQ lifestyle is easy to envy.
@rob7385 they look high on that frame, the width isnt that wide, running over the cement its only gotta spin a wheel and over it goes. Just looks underdone for the weight/cost to me
"Classic lines" AKA same old east coast mould 🥱 Got rocks in your head if you think you're not going to get wet on that boat. Definitely not passing the wife and kids test.
3:1 is a spearfishing boat. It's not a family boat. Anyone spending that much money on that boat is going to agree with you. You're not winning anyone over with 4 + people on a 2.1m wide boat.
Don't take make for far north Queenslanders, to stick the pages together . Must get it from there cousin's in Tasmania, thay like boat's and long trips, from far lands across the sea , unfortunately there's a town up that way named after one of them
They look incredible, epic boats. Love the idea of a modernised v17. Epic Work!

Surely everyone see the hat fly out the boat! Question is did he get it back?!😂
Yea I saw that too 😂

the hat flying off the centre console at 0:56
wow it a perfect sports boat. love the way it rides in a stiff chop...glued to the water!
Would of been keen to see the 5.3 at rest in 1ft chop.
Those hulls look efficient.
Beautiful boats - will definitely be getting one
I love how he loses the hat overboard at 0:55 🤣
@4:59 is that a crack on the hull/transom?
Most likely just chipped off gelcoat. Not that uncommon on an exposed, hard edge like that. Easy fix, too.
Cool story and an exciting brand
that boat looks sick as legands
Nice! What's the theory behind that trim tab position.?
Very nice looking boat
0:55 r.i.p hat
Those 2 Mercury motors on that narrow frame will be costly!!
Why’s that mate u mean as in maintenance costs?

@@robberlin2230 oh ok gotcha I thought u were referring to the transom 👍
how much does the TOPGUN hull cost?
Pretty sure it's around $100k for the hull and trailer
@@MrGavo1978 shit im out
Why ruin it with a pod full width hull extension and then the hull will out perform the pod but everyone be like I know boats
may i recoment putting in thrusters i know it would probs be a little difficult but looking at what youve done im sure it wouldnt be to hard
What does Sigma that? Why did the x-rays flow off and confuse?
Sexy as fuck boats! a little alarmed on the cracking at the end of the strake tough?
Just a smudge mate, wiped it off with my hand

This is a new mould made in house at carbine marine last year, perhaps you would like a test drive to to see how dry it is.
