Bipod is definitely not shite anymore but one commenter on Aegis' vid pointed out that running BnS is better for ammo economy as its much harder to reach max rocket reserves with bipod (14) than it is with BnS (9) AFTER a damage phase, you'd need more bricks for Bipod, which is less forgiving. Also I don't think it's that hard to get 6 or 7 out of those 9 rockets to be BnS procced. Then again it's likely that Crota will have an overwhelming abundance of yellow bars for aeons/cenotaph/munitions so this may not matter. Thoughts?
I agree, the ammo economy of going with bipod is going to be what makes it worse to me. I’m gonna stick to BnS, I never struggled keeping it active the whole phase so it’s a no brained if you’re good at your rotations
I’m sticking with BnS just becuase it will do more with less ammo, who knows if you’ll go into a dps phase without full heavy, I’ll still prob craft bipod apex tho if heavy ammo isn’t an issue 😎
I’d say with all the ways to generate bricks or heavy, ammo isn’t really a problem anymore. Just throw on a scav and a heavy ammo finder with an exotic primary and you’ll be rolling in heavy that’s even before you consider the seasonal mods and exotics. Plus this type of dps is far easier to do which for unfamiliar end game content like any new raid is far more valuable than something that provides a marginal benefit like B&S
Slight correction at the start of the video, you said Bipod is buffed by 15% because its 60% -> 75%. While its technically 15% of a base rocket better, its actually 25% stronger per rocket (0.6 x 1.25 = 0.75) That said, won't affect the numbers since you tested post-buff and got the actual numbers anyway, but it shows the buff is about 67% bigger than was implied by just quickly looking at it.
Ya, I was watching that part and thinking "That's not exactly how math works, but I know what you mean." In this case the buff is actually bigger than he reports.
not sure if threadlings doing more dmg effects super or not but super IS doing more damage this season if only slightly. the numbers were like 360k to now 400k if im not mistaken but some where around that ball park
i think bypod is at a disadvantage in this scenario since reconstruction only loads one rocket at a time, making bypod a bit less dps than bait and switch. in a scenario where you are purly reloading this weapon, bypod may excel much more
But now we have “cataphract gl3” from trials that has envious assassin and b&s that can shoot all its 17-19 (with reserves) ammo in 8,5 seconds outputting some insane DPS. Only issue is farming for this thing, I've already reseted saint 2 times, focused like 45 engrams and still no good roll
Random fact. The Super actually does more damage now. The numbers didn't change but Aegis did a video and it's like 416K now vs the 380 it was or whatever.
How do you transition from an Ad clear loadout to this Strand DPS rotation loadout? What weapons do you usually switch from to DPS witherhoard, rocket, and maybe a fusion rifle?
Combine that with mask of bakris, and you got an insane total amd burst damage setup up. Plus with the legs freeded up because no need fir surges it's easy to have very high uptime on your abilities especially duskfeilds so add clear/ neutral gane is super good as well.
No surge matching plus if your on Bakris no damage super makes cold comfort a “worse” choice, the only thing thats gives cold comfort an advantage is assuming the perfect scenario where you have ballidorses.
I believe threading grenade has a longer cool down than grapple. And thread of generation got nerfed, so the damage you gain from threading grenade doesn't makeup for the amount of time you can reload your rocket with it.
Because hoard allows for better dps, you would also assume someone else will buff lumina for the 35% damage buff. This guy ain’t that good at damage testing though, someone like prelapse is far better
With all the weapons and their perks leaked, what is the likelihood that the raid mechanics and encounter details are leaked? Sub 2 hour contest mode worlds first 😢?
Using the combination of Izzi, Empty Vessel, Apex (recon, BnS) I was able to hit upword of 2.8 milli. We put our witherhoard on a welllock with starfire for mono chromatic
Good for the ammo economy. However until the envious bug is fixed ill definitely stick to cold comfort and even if it will be, apex and CC are just too good because as mentioned its hard to get more ammo for bipod. Im not really a good dmg tester so could anybody do a dmg rotation that lasts the average 30 seconds with the 5 CC shots? Was thinking of implementing ToM as it is the highest primary dps weapon
Id like to see cold comfort envious and bipod roll with riptide since they are both stasis for weapon surges and since you can shoot 8 consecutive rokects with the CC id think it be pretty good burst dmg
For specifically cc. Bns is way better than bipod. you are firing 4/5 with current bug in a row. Vs 8 with bipod. you just simply get through your rocket dmg much faster with BnS. especially with hunter dodge or strand, is way easier to get through your ammo with BnS and the 2 mag size with bipod becomes less of a benefit.
I’m just so disappointed with grapple. Only way to make it viable in endgame is to just be reload fodder. Hunters best builds love to have nothing to do with grapple. Strand was marketed with grapple so much and it just turns out you’re never “HIGH APM” , you’re just like every other class.
I dunno I think grapple is fairly nice in syntho builds for getting in there and giving enemies a good hardy slap. Even better now that banner of war is a thing. Also I think there was a weird grapple build you could do with warlock. I forget the exotic's name but it essentially stacked with grenade kills and made them stronger and also boosted grenade recharge rate for them and their allies for every stack up to 5? Grapples something that requires a huge change of mind and a lot of bending into in order to make it work for you. But it can also be fairly rewarding and fun when you do.
If I had Navigator, I would've *loved* to try a grapple build with Karnsteins. You just get so much effective health between woven mail and the massive healing from Karnsteins, not to mention now you can also panic-pop Weavewalk to get out of the rare situations where you can't grapple out without getting nuked.
Seems the the hunter would be better as you can have 2 grenades, once you used your ammo up which you will do quicker with 2 nades your have plenty of time to use your super so being one and done isn't really that big a thing in this instance....so really not sure why this is a "warlock meta"? Also titans can use thread of ascent as well, Seems weird to me to say its a "warlock meta".
Warlock necrotic grips cause poison on melee attack, with 3 charges of melee too, dealing extra damage, plus a melee hit give grenade energy mod = profit
@macmeal7453 so? The amount of damage that does on a boss is not enough to a massive difference plus a hunter could run witherhoard or thorn to get extra damage as well.....warlocks still not meta in this case. Also impact induction gives 20% grenade energy with a 7 second cooldown so you can't proc it all the time, hunter will still have more grenades than a warlock on strand, and a titan could even put on the exotic to get 2 grenade charges....so yeah like I said still not "meta".
