MOST people have a deviated septum---but that doesn't mean it's the cause of your breathing problems. There could be many other factors. Sinus surgery is always risky--you could get infections, nerve damage, optic nerve damage, or even Trigeminal Neuralgia. Most surgeries go fine but any doctor who cares about your well-being will want to try EVERYTHING else before putting you through the risk of surgery. and avoid turbinate surgery--look up Empty Nose Syndrome. ▌▌▌
