As a German I’ve been surrounded by people who told me to not listen to Angela Davis, Malcolm X etc. because they’re "antisemitic". Loads of the tears I’ve spent during the last months also come from me not having seen through these allegations, but followed the advice until a couple of years ago, although learning from them about systemic oppressions through worldwide liberalism would have been better for my own life as a nonbinary trans person too. Listening now to these kind and empathetic voices, I feel ashamed about having literally been what my grandparents were, but I thought I’d never be.
