I vote grout because in a well-used kitchen… it would likely be a NIGHTMARE to clean especially that sticky film kitchens get - especially in the cracks. What you may consider is non sanded grout and just get it in there really good and maybe wipe away more than you normally would so that the grout lines are a little more pronounced than flat.
I would definitely grout. It will look more finished and it will be easier to clean. I know you like the perfectly imperfect look of the tile but I think you’ll still see it’s beauty with the grout. I can’t wait for your range to come and all the finishing touches of your beautiful kitchen!
I love the color you going to do the cabinets and love that tile. Although I believe it’s beautiful as is but I think if grout it for cleaning purposes and I think it’ll make it look more finished but you can always leave it lined it is and see how you like it! Btw I’m so proud of you Kenzie, your doing that tile all by yourself, I’m so motivated. Your so lucky to to have a husband willing to help and not just put it off!
I would grout it if it were in my kitchen. But it’s your home do what you like. To me it looks unfinished, but I love the frames around your windows. I want my husband to do one over my slider.
The kitchen looks amazing! My husband is a plumber. I’m waiting for him to replace the faucets in our house. So you’re very blessed to have a husband who willingly does the work! Awesome team work!
I would go with grout for a complete look! I’m SO excited to see the final result, I love the new placement of the cabinets and trying to draw height. I’m loving all the neutral tones and the backsplash is to die for! 💕 so inspired to try diying a backsplash now ☺️
That Facebook market find was awesome!! And I am team Grout- reason is if you do use your kitchen for cooking lol then lots of oil or spills are easy to get in between or even water, this can cause problem for you with bugs and/or mold in the future. I’m loving the work you’re doing to your home there nothing more rewarding than when you do it yourself and just stand back and look at the work you’ve accomplished 😊
yes 😂😭 it was a bit of a struggle but i think it was easier than cutting a hole bunch of tiles 😜 i can also reach better now! we raised it up about a foot to begin with and then back down 6 inches 😊
I would definitely grout it, it'll make cleaning so much easier! But you can definitely get like a mocha color or something to still see the tiles individually rather than them all blending 👏
The tile is gorgeous!! You did a great job!! However, as pretty as it is without grout you really should grout it. I’ve been tiling for 20 years and grout is also a barrier to keep the tile from falling off the wall. I can’t wait to see the finish product:) good luck!!!
Definitely grout. Ungrouted tile collects grease and dust and will become grimy and disgusting much quicker than you might think. I did Ungrouted and it absorbed so much kitchen grease it practically slid off the walls
Woww what a difference already 👍🏻 You did an amazing job on the backsplash. Team grout just bc it’s in the kitchen so I would be afraid dirt would begin accumulating in the gaps. 😊
Def grout. I’m not a fan of the messy uneven tiles. How do you reach anything in the cupboards now? We got a new stove without the big back controls. It’s on the front now. Looks high end, built in.
I absolutely love what y’all have done so far. I can’t wait to see it finished. I’d do grout if it was up to me. Also I truly love how y’all are tackling all these projects together.❤
I cant wait to see the final reveal! I think grout would look best! you'll also be able to wipe the backsplash down if there's grout, but it something splashes into the ungrouted seam, you won't be able to wash it off the clay!
Oh my gosh, that is looking amazing! I have been looking for the same zellige backsplash, and that one is perfect. I am torn on the grout. I feel like it will look beautiful either way! Sorry, I’m no help😂 I’m curious about your decision to just move the cabinets up instead of adding smaller ones or a panel above, I never thought to just move them up! Mine don’t reach the ceiling either and it drives me crazy. You’ll have so much space to decorate between the countertop and the cabinets now!
we’re moving them up just a few inches, and also adding some crown molding in to fill in the top gap 😊 we only use the bottom two shelves anyways, so we thought why not 🤷🏼♀️ we can reach everything fine, & i like how it shows off the backsplash more 🙈
Hi Kenzie it looks beautiful and I would see if you can find photos same tile with grout and compare. I think you should possibly grout it. I cannot wait to see your new oven.
I think you should leave it with no grout because that’s what you like now. It can always be grouted later but you can’t take it away. It looks amazing!!
My cabinets are raised like this and I hate them because I can really only reach the first shelf comfortably. The top shelf is useless for me. I hope they work better for you. I love the tile and the other trim. Wonderful job.
I would definitely grout. It will be easier to keep clean. Particles of food and stuff could get inbetween and over time it would be kinda gross. Cant wait to see the final project. 😊
oh!!! yes! we just moved the cabinets back down a smidge. we raised them about a foot to begin with, then we just put them back down about 6 inches so we didn’t have to deal with cutting all those tiles 😜

team grout or no grout?! thumbs up 👍🏻 for grout!!
leave a comment for no grout!

👍🏼 Team grout! It’s looking beautiful so far!
thank you!! 🫶🏼🙈
Definitely grout! We have Asiago for our kitchen cabinets as well and I love it! It’s a beautiful creamy white color.
girllll i would LOVE to see a picture of your cabinets if you have one 😍 will you DM me on instagram?!
Definitely! I sent a message request! 😊

thanks for your input friend!!
I would grout it.
I would grout it also. I wonder if food and gunk would get in the cracks, if left ungrouted.
The kitchen looks amazing! My husband is a plumber. I’m waiting for him to replace the faucets in our house. So you’re very blessed to have a husband who willingly does the work! Awesome team work!
haha! it’s his house too, so he wants it done just as much as i do 😊 we decide on all these renovations together!! thanks so much for being here ♥️
Grout!! Plus, I really enjoyed your kitty "helping" you.

aw thank you so much 🥰 you should give it a go!! it’s pretty easy honestly and relaxing 🙈
Hi Kenzie, I’m team grout but with no grout it looks unfinished if that’s the look you want. Can’t wait to see the finish!😍❤️🥰
hey lul!! thanks so much for your vote 🫶🏼

Grout team. Would hate to see such beautiful job fall apart or ruined. Love your job. Can’t wait for the grand finale.
Dang! Did you guys move the cabinets back down a liitle to meet the the edge of the tile??? Looks great!
yes 😂😭 it was a bit of a struggle but i think it was easier than cutting a hole bunch of tiles 😜 i can also reach better now! we raised it up about a foot to begin with and then back down 6 inches 😊
I'm in awe of this budget kitchen renovation. The backsplash adds such a stylish touch, and those new appliances look amazing. Great job.
thanks girl! 🫶🏼 appreciate your support!
Aaaaggghhh! I can’t wait to see the finished project! Lol! It’s looking great!
yayyyy 🙈 thank you so much!!
I would've never thought to move the cabinets up like that. Its making me wonder if that would be possible in my new home. It made such a difference!
Kitchen makeover is good to see on RUclips
I can’t wait to see this kitchen complete!!! 😍😍😍
I love it how it is with no grout!! I can’t wait to see it all finished!
I would definitely grout it, it'll make cleaning so much easier! But you can definitely get like a mocha color or something to still see the tiles individually rather than them all blending 👏
Grout. It will help with cleaning and keeping your tile in excellent condition without spills/ food getting trapped in all the space between tiles.
such a good point!!
This looks amazing Kenzie!! I’m excited to see the final product and LOVE watching you turn your house into a home! 🤩
omg HEY girl! 😽 how are you?!
thank you so much for watching & your support 🥹♥️ it means everything!!
Great job! All of the little changes are going to make a big change. I vote for grout!
yayyy! thank you so much 😊
OMG! That tile! Where did you get it?! I am currently looking for tile for my kitchen as well!
Team grount such different with the backsplash .sooo nice 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

thanks ev!! so excited for it to be done 😜

oh wow!! thank you so much for this!! definitely want to grout it now

You did an amazing job on the backsplash.
Team grout just bc it’s in the kitchen so I would be afraid dirt would begin accumulating in the gaps. 😊
yess!!! totally. thanks for this ♥️
Looks great. Can't wait to see it continue. Team grout.
yay thanks for your vote! 🫶🏼
Def grout. I’m not a fan of the messy uneven tiles. How do you reach anything in the cupboards now? We got a new stove without the big back controls. It’s on the front now. Looks high end, built in.
it’s only up a few inches higher, and we only use the bottom two shelves anyway 😊
Grout for sure! And the cabinet paint color you’re leaning towards also looks too similar to the tile. I would choose a contrasting color/tone
I absolutely love what y’all have done so far. I can’t wait to see it finished. I’d do grout if it was up to me. Also I truly love how y’all are tackling all these projects together.❤
thank you so much 🙈 we’re trying our best that’s for sure!! 😂
Love the tile! I would do grout 😁
💯 grout!!! Also I agree that the accessible beige is too match w your wall color now. The other choices are perfect. Can’t wait to see the results
yayyy! thank you for your input ♥️😊

she’s beautiful 🥹 she should be getting delivered next week!! 🙈

Yes, I love it! So smart
I would grout it, Kenzie. But omg, you are doing such a great job! Love it!
ahh really?! thank you so much 🥰
Hi Kenzie it looks beautiful and I would see if you can find photos same tile with grout and compare. I think you should possibly grout it. I cannot wait to see your new oven.
that’s a great idea!! thank you 🫶🏼
Middle color and team grout!
thank you!! ♥️
I think you should leave it with no grout because that’s what you like now. It can always be grouted later but you can’t take it away.
It looks amazing!!

Hey thanks for the Video it was fun to watch and I think I wid probable grout it❤❤❤
But You do wats You like😊😊
totally!! thanks so much for your input 🫶🏼
i am trying to find the link to the tiles but cant seem to find it
My cabinets are raised like this and I hate them because I can really only reach the first shelf comfortably. The top shelf is useless for me. I hope they work better for you. I love the tile and the other trim. Wonderful job.
we only use the bottom two shelves anyway! the others are always empty 😊
Looks great 👍🏻!
okayyyy but i need the link for the tile, grout and tool used
I am in love
Hi Kenzie I think you should grout the backsplash ❤
got it ♥️ thanks friend!!
I would definitely grout. It will be easier to keep clean. Particles of food and stuff could get inbetween and over time it would be kinda gross. Cant wait to see the final project. 😊
yes!! didn’t even think about this till now. thank you!!
Looks so good! ❤Ana
ahhh thanks ana!! 🫶🏼🙈
🥰
Team grout 👍🏼
got it 🫶🏼
Hello, I am loving the cat.
♥️😽
I like the rustic and unique look and leave the tile as is. If in the future you like to change the look then consider grout.
thank you for this!! love this idea.
Team grout 🙂
woot woot!!
For sure grout!
ahhhh 🙈
Grout for sure 👍
thanks for your input!!
Definetly grout it!!
got it!!
I think it would look more finished with grout.😊
Grout for sure! You don’t want gunk and things getting into the clay
totally!! 🫶🏼
👍
You didn't show what you did to the space between the backsplash and cabinet after you put the tiles up there was some space left
oh!!! yes! we just moved the cabinets back down a smidge. we raised them about a foot to begin with, then we just put them back down about 6 inches so we didn’t have to deal with cutting all those tiles 😜
I think grout would look nice.
thanks for your vote!!
I would grout just for the fact it will be easier to clean, no? Gunk will get in between.
totally!! i think i’m going to grout for this reason haha
Raising the cabinets was not necessary IMO, now they are too high. Love the tile though! I would definitely grout.
we love it like this!
Grout!
Personally I would grout but you do what you love:)
you’re the best!! 🙈
Grout 👍
Definitely grout, dirt and grease will accumulate in the crevices.
gotcha!!! thank you!
✌
with grout
Looking great so far but I personally would grout.
thanks for your input! 🙈
Tell me honestly lol Did you wish you never started at any point 😂😂😂 Looking 👍👍 Team grout Love from Yorkshire England xx
HAHA yes but it’s gonna be so worth it in the end 🥹
❤❤❤saludos hermosa ❤
This video was so juicy! 😂 love it ❤
Don’t grout it , it will look too cookie cutter
got it!!
Grout
got it!!
no grout
No grout.
i gotchu girl!!
The cabinets are hung grossly too high… my vote … new cabinets and hire an interior designer. You won’t regret it!
ouch girl 😂 i am the interior designer hence the “DIY” & “on a budget” part of this video. we like it 🤷🏼♀️
@@kenziemac I thought you were a decorator …didn’t realize you were an interior designer. Self disciplined or specific schooling and formal training?
@@adrianadrian9578 i am the interior designer of my own home, haha! self taught & here to share my ideas, even if they're not typical 😊
Gotcha 😉No disrespect but designers take their profession seriously. It’s like calling a person working in a daycare a teacher! Not the same.
