Ive never used the US store from my experience but seeing alot of people from my Figma community used the US store ver had lots of complaints getting the figures way way waaaay too long to get an update despite seeing the GSC site release date
Yeah that happens, but its out of their hand and other US stores have the same problem. They all have to wait for their stock to ship over from overseas via boat and the past 2 years have been a nightmare in terms of delays. It's definitely understandable to not want to order from them at this time for that reason though
I thought I was hallucinating when I went to preorder this figure last night. I always compare amiami, TOM, and GSC to see what my shipping/discount/points will get me and I couldn't believe the price difference from TOM and GSC for Colors Blue. And with domestic shipping 50% off the shipping for me is only $9 so I'm using the US store for sure. So glad to see this wasn't a glitch!!

I bought the new Emilia: Graceful Beauty figure for $189 on GSC US, paided $8 for shipping, total $198.56. If I went through Amiami I'd be paying 205 roughly, without shipping. I'd have to pay like $20 for shipping. On the global GSC it was gonna be $15 dollars shipping, but the same $189 base price. I don't have sales taxes where I live. Also ordered the Rem part of the set. Kinda hyped to see them in 5 months 😭
The Solarain figure is very good but like you said it's made by a company pretty new to the scene. I'm waiting for Sorarain Susu Tushan review first (should be release this month if no delay) to decide whether i should order her or not.
Might actually order the Colors:Blue figure now...though I've been trying to cut back on orders lately. Canceled like $500 worth of orders this week...
You had me checking all the sites I order from to see if I could get the Miku figure for cheaper than what Tokyo Otaku Mode would give it to me for but Tom still matches or beats out all the other sites, especially if I use points and I have like 90$ worth of points to spend. I have premium so I get discounts and it usually works out really well but I'm kind of pissed at Tom this time because I get free shipping if I pay 150$ or more ( I'm not sure if that's limited to premium members or for everyone) but the automated 10% discount I have as a premium member drops the price from 163 to 147 making it so I have to pay shipping which makes the total price go back up to 165 for the cheapest shipping even with my premium shipping discount. I get 5% cash back in tom points since I'm a premium member but I hate that I can't take off the stupid 10% if I don't want it. Either way, Tom usually beats other sites prices for me.
Aye, Idk how much the Blue figure shipping wouldve costed but at this time, it was approx $168 on amiami, and $169 on US GSC, +$15 tax, +$10 shipping, totals out to $196.
I'm really excited for the european store. Many of our countries still haven't gotten EMS back, which means if you ordered anything on the global store its stuck for eternity, since thats what Good Smile uses for shipping.
It's implemented but it doesn't seem like they'll go back to change older figure's prices, just stuff moving forward. It's why I compared Miku to colors blue

Most of these obscure figure brands are actually Chinese based. China is totally knocking on the figure market with these killer figures thus has resulted in me ordering more Chinese figures than Japanese figures.
I don't like ordering from the US site bc they always have an error when I put enter my phone number (Yes, it's entered correctly). My brother also has this issue... :(

Honestly I should probably do the same lol. I'm pretty sure if I added up all my preorders I would instantly cancel a few out of shock

GS Europe could hopefully mean they will be able to ship my figures which have been lying in their warehouse since they cancelled EMS...

my collecting habits leans towards characters I connect with over beautiful sculpts, but I cant deny chinese figures have been killin it lately

its a bug or something in their system if you call them they will tell you to just put a 1 in front of it i think and then it is fine
