My father just passed away. My Mum died 4 years ago. Now I’ve been busy clearing out their house. They never threw a thing away, so there are closets and closets full of vintage clothes! You’ve given me some great ideas. I feel super inspired!
Sorry for your loss, go through their things & fine something that will make you have a hearty laugh of remembrances🙏🏽, that's what I do when it's a little jittery. Remember all the laughter ✌🏾💜 jittery
I'm an unemployed graduate with no prospects for any future employment in my country (South Africa). I had just about given up until God led me to your channel. I plan on starting my thrifting business and using your ideas to upcycle the clothes. Thank you so much for this video. God bless you abundantly. ❤❤❤❤
I have loads of clothes that I've hoarded. I don't purge my closet. I have clothes from 15 years ago that are in boxes and closets everywhere. I will go through all of them and learn on them. Since I can either remake them into something else or throw them away. Thrift stores work differently in some countries. Where I live they sell clothes that were donated in other countries and didn't sell and everything changes every week.
It's 10:30pm on a work night and I need to be sleeping but watching this video makes me want to jump up and run to my sewing machine and start stitching something. So inspirational!!!
It's embarrassing how many times I tried to re-like this video, then realizing I already had. You are amazing! 👏🏾👏🏾 Thanks for your inspiration and ideas. Running to my thrift store.
The very best! Love this video! Love the versatile pieces. You're really great at pulling all the pieces into perfect ensembles!!!🎉🎉🎉 I must get sewing!!! Thank you! God bless you!
I Absolutely Love your Videos Lady! You have the BEST ideas! Plus, I Love how you Model your clothes, you are Extremely Talented and Beautiful, so GLAD, I found you . ❤️🐾Jan & Duke
You’re so inspiring, I love your channel ❤ thank you for the way you present your videos and show each piece. They are beautiful & appreciate the easy links to the other videos ✨
oh my goodness! you're amazing!! everything I wanna make, you made it so beautifully!! I just picked up my mom's old sewing machine and I'm dabbling into it! and I'm so so looking forward to trying all of your tutorials!!!!💙
All fabulous DYI fashion ideas! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️ I would like to recreate the tee shirt tops and dresses, the collar dress shirt dress, and the denim belt / harness.
I have just found your channel, what a blessing! I cannot saw but I have always loved to cut tshirts and stuff, you are giving me great hints... thank you!!! :)
I have been meaning to crop a sweater which has amazing colors, but a shape I don’t love, and I had forgotten that you did a tutorial on this, so I’m headed to watch that one. Maybe I’ll get up the courage to actually take the plunge!
I'm emo and I've always wanted a black trench coat, I'm super happy about trench coats being popular now. That means I can get a cheap one from the thrift store! I've watched so many videos of thrift flipping and everything looks terrible, it looks like people are wearing their grandmas table cloths and curtains. But this video is AMAZING and very helpful. I'm very picky about what I wear, I only wear black, and I wear an xs so it's very hard to find clothes that I like, so I usually have to make them. I'm tired of wearing the same stuff and I want to add some more layers to my outfits instead of just wearing oversized band shirts, black jeans and a hoodie. Thank you so much for all of these!!
I love your jeans upgrading process they are so much saving of old colthes.I want to know is it possible to make a jeans high waisted from low waist you are so much experienced and you can explain it better.
Loved this!. I've finally gotten past my fear of cutting stuff, yeah! My biggest problem now is, frustration with my sewing machine. It sticks and bunches up the thread often. So much so recently that I have almost stopped sewing altogether. I've tried adjusting the tension, but that only seems to help for w short time. So frustrating! Wondering if I should just try to get another machine. Ugh!!!
I’m so sorry that your machine is making this frustrating! It definitely sounds like your machine needs to be serviced if you’ve checked tension and nothing is working.
Wow you always make the uncycles look awesome. I am a follower of your channel. You are so creative with t shirts. I make quilts from old t shirts. But I love how you take then to the next level. Thank you for sharing your upcycle ideas. Do you have any videos on upcycle with cardigan sweaters?
I have been toying with trying to make a corset top with boning and really structured lining fabric with some old sweaters and/or cardigans. I don’t know if/when I’ll get around to it, but I think it would look cool! I’m also toying with making a cropped cardigan-like those little bolero ones-and using the bottom part I cut off to make a little sweater tank. Don’t know if either of those ideas sounds fun to you, but thought I’d share!
Now that my GW has $1 days I might actually look for a pair of those Gloria Vanderbilt’s and test out that side cut trick…also not included here because it’s not an up cycle I need to learn to reinforce the knees of boys pants I am going to try the trick you did in your short and see if we can’t extend the life of a few pairs of joggers
Please make a slower video on how too put in the pockets into our dress ,shorts, and pants. And thank you so much for showing us how too upcycle our loved ones clothes. Into functional everyday items.
I love love love your channel. Unfortunately I am 70 years old, so the little belly showing crops are just not doable for me. But cropping those suit jackets, right up my alley!! Keep up the great designs. I'll keep watching and doing.
So, I have been at a standstill with projects I want to do. Mainly because I am wondering about fabric type. Should I stick with 100% cotton when starting out? I have a TON of old tees and loungewear, but they vary is fabric type. Do you have a video about the topic? Thanks!
I want to attempt an item you didn't mention here. The denim shirt made from the seams! I love that, but I haven't found the time to get working on it! Thanks for the tutorials!
Hey best friend 😊, I love all of the recaps and still plan on doing some of your upcycles myself. I told myself that no longer will I try to do exactly what you had done. Just do like you've said so many times which is make it my own. I always forget that though. 🙃 I haven't given up on the plaid skirt & t-shirt maxi dress. I have to wait until I've played it over in my head enough to so it how I think I can. 🤔 Angelina, how did you make the sweater puffer top you're wearing? I don't remember seeing a tutorial on it. Thanks for consistently creating great content and the peptalks. Bye! 👋🏼👋🏼
I know you’ll get there. You’re a planner like me. 😁 I actually bought my top from this week’s video because I have a hard time thrifting hood cardigans.
Love the ideas you come up with. Yes, I’m very afraid to cut something up because I’m afraid I won’t like it afterwards. Help me with my fear of this please😢
You’re definitely not alone. Even I don’t like everything I make, but the pieces that I do like make up for the risk. If you never cut anything then you’ll never have a possibility for anything good.
Ya men and women can be friends with eachother without any romantic attraction being there. I think most problems lie when married men and women start developing “close” relationships with people of the opposite gender because we over time you can really build up attraction with someone like that even unmeaningly. There are exceptions to this but generally it’s a good idea to not have friends that aren’t also friends with your spouse and to just have ones of the opposite gender be like “regular or work” friends and not close ones

I’m so sorry for your loss! It sounds like they left behind quite the legacy. Happy upcycling!

If you have a lot of tee shirts you can make a quilt or easy blanket. Peace and hugs KP

AWESOMMMMEEEEE! Also Angelina, what is this lip color you’re wearing?? It’s so pretty!
Also, I am DEFINITELY still afraid to cut 😅
Amazing!! Can you please do a tutorial on how to do a reversible jean jacket with a crochet blanket on one side?

Loving what you are wearing; was it an upcycle also? Is there a tutorial for it? 🥰
I came here to say the same thing. I was like PUFFER CARDIGAN?!
Y’all gonna make me have to figure out how to make it. I actually bought it because I have the hardest time thrifting good cardigans.
Please make a slower video on how too put in the pockets into our dress ,shorts, and pants. And thank you so much for showing us how too upcycle our loved ones clothes. Into functional everyday items.
The links for all the full videos are in the description 👍🏾
You can shorten a zipper by just sewing across the teeth where you want the zipper to stop.. just reinforce back and forth.

Pretty cool, but what's that awesome sweater you're wearing? Is it one of your creations?
I was wondering the same! I was looking at it like, did she add the black piping??👀👀👀
No, I got it online at commense.com. I got because I wanted to see how it was made. 🤭
@@BlueprintDIY now we are waiting for you to recreate it for us🙂
❤❤❤
Where can I get a pattern of the measurements from top to elbow for a puff sleeve? I will add length. I'm a size women 16.
Are you going to bring back America's next top upcycler?
Hey best friend 😊, I love all of the recaps and still plan on doing some of your upcycles myself. I told myself that no longer will I try to do exactly what you had done. Just do like you've said so many times which is make it my own. I always forget that though. 🙃
