In this video, I discuss the updated changes on how you can acquire the Pestilence Exotic LMG. This weapon used to be a dark zone exclusive drop but according to reports of players getting it outside the Dark Zone, it seems this is no longer the case.

You can obtain the Pestilence farming LMG targeted loot areas. You do not have to go into the DZ, and you do not have to get the Pestilence first, in order to drop outside of the DZ.
I can confirm this. I have never played inside the DZ since I'm a solo player, and I managed to get two Pestilences to drop for me. I was creating a level 3 Control Point in a LMG targeted area, killed a heavy and boom! My first not one, but two Pestilences. Never had the blueprints, nor did it ever drop in the DZ.
Farm LMG targeted loot areas folks. It will drop for you.
I can confirm this is right I answered the call to a group farming LMG targeted control points Pestilence dropped for me on the 3rd one on lvl 4 control

This gun is one of the, if only exotic I actually use in this game. It's a beast.

Man, my RnG was off the chain last night! I ran Tidal basin Invaded mission which had LMG loot allocation. By the end of the mission, I had received two Tip of the Spear gear set pieces, 4 named items, two weapons, I chest piece and one backpack, and TWO Pestilence's!! I think that is all my D2 luck gone in one mission!
please give us more of this kind of content I really want you to show us where the new updated exotic weapons are and how to get them
I got mine off a named outcast in free-roam a few days before the Silent Night event, it was pretty fun and helped a lot running heroic missions for the keys for the event. Also got BTSU Datagloves, Sawyer's Kneepads x 2, Dodge City Gunslinger’s Holster x 4, Sweet Dreams x 2, during the event.
Target loot lvl 4 cp outcast dropped two for me and I’ve never had one from DZ and one tusk free roam

Just received one from the Camp White Oak Invaded Mission, from a weapon pelican case on the ground. Just a random case off the beaten path, opened it and received the LMG.
Yesterday i got mine from a normal ad on heroic mission with LMG's as targeted loot..and yes this was the first time i got it..i have never got it before. So yes you can get it out of the DZ.
I just got this weapon today, after 20 min of play it dropped doing a territory control activity in Downtown West. this is my 1st one...never got one in the DZ
You can get them anywhere now. I’ve had them all besides eb. Drop in random places including crates. I had the Btsu drop with a red patrol. There is no secret way anymore. It’s all just rng
I've never gotten this. Still lol. The targeted loot guy. LMGs are in Downtown West today, with Gila Guard at Bank Headquarters.
I was in dz south yesterday and i literally got the pestelience drop for me and right after that got 3 exotics kneed pads one after the other to drop it too...not that i need so i just handed them out to the group.

This dropped for me in New York last night before the servers went down for service. We were doing a bounty from rescuing hostages and it dropped from one of the random bad guys. Our world difficulty was set on Hard.

Yeah lvl 4s are pretty tough. They are the equivalent to a heroic. You either need a beastly build or you should for sure squad up with a group to do them

I was confused today after doing a Lvl 4 Outcast Checkpoint Difficulty I had a Pestilence in my Inventory because all that DZ exclusive missinformation still going around.
I've gotten one during an invaded mission on Roosevelt Island, funny thing was, I was assisting another player on challenge and he left so attempted to do it myself to see it drop. Ran straight to the safe house and put in my stash before leaving the group. 😁
Can confirm. I’ve picked up two and both were in the LZ.
Played Invaded Roosevelt Island last night on Heroic with a group of 4 and two of us got a pestilence and we both gave them away to the other two guys that didn’t have one.
I got mine from Roosevelt island from a hidden loot lock box about 2 weeks ago. man was I surprised
This is true, I got it from a regular boss within the Pentagon while beating those missions.
Got mine today, was getting the blueprint for the exotic holster from the Black Tusk boss at the bar by the White House at noon. Went there and killed him, and he dropped a Pestilence, and the last thing I needed for the holster.

Another update on this gun: They buffed/reworked it, and it is vicious:
Hits apply a debuff dealing 100% weapon damage over 10 seconds. This stacks up to 50 times. Whenever an enemy dies with this debuff, all stacks are transferred to a nearby enemy with 25 meters.
So the damage of it's ability is overall lowered, but it's now a poison that jumps from enemy to enemy, dealing damage to them. Since you no longer have to hope to get a group of enemies in it's damage cloud, you can effectively keep this poison debuff (or multiple if you can keep two separate stacks on enemies) running rampant through an encounter. Easiest way to max out its damage is to pick the highest health enemy there and lay on him, or better yet if he has a shield, because even hitting their shield applies this debuff. It's an absolute PvE monster.
but still i really love poison cloud....it somehow funny to see it pop out poison smoke and everyone around it die in seconds

it only drops in the lz only if you have one already. all exotics drop if you have them already. i had a liberty drop and for that one you need specific pieces but i have one already. the devs said that in one of the sotg that if you have an exotic already it has a chance to drop again.
Mine dropped from the last boss on a level 4 checkpoint, I didn't know it dropped from them, glad didnt have to look for it in the dz

I had one drop from a random group of outcasts as I exited the Potomac Event Center mission
I just got it and wasn't even looking for it lol. Didn't even know exotics drop in the dz.
No kidding. I searched how to find a Pestilence. Watched your video. LMG was active on the map. Killed an Elite Patrol and got a pestilence. Literally less than 5 mins of total time to get one...LOL!
The of thing people who do exotic farming or location videos is you need to be on challenging and with other players, could be just one or up to 3 others, to better their chances.
Apparently a lot of people whos seeing it drop outside of DZ is after people have the weapon already so not 100% sure yet
Got mines from the dark zones from a land mark after that nothing again the old pestilence at that I never even knew they updated the exotics only recent exotic I got lately was the btsu gloves after I never seen a exotic again
just got back into the game, currently WT 5 and gear score of 499, and I have only 1 exotic...the same gloves you have on your character in this video :) ..i need to start getting these exotics, so I appreciate your videos..thank you

I thought the Devs said it exotics that were locked to specific missions/areas/tasks would only drop in the LZ if you already had one in your backpack.
Yup, but that has apparently changed.
Just got my Pestilence right now, yeah just like the other comments just farm it on targeted loots. luckily the targeted loot for LMG right now is District Union Area. I tried it on Challenging around 3 times and when I got to try Heroic for once. It drops right away on the first try of Heroic.
Dropped mine on air&space invasion last week or week before.
I get this gun to drop from an exotic cache from the new league going right now.
Open world drop got mine from doing a stronghold invaded with lmg as target lot. Confirm roosevelt island.

My friend and I got it last night doing Tidal Basin stronghold on hard
I got mine in the dz a few months ago at a dz drop. Another dropped for me Sunday night randomly at a hard landmark and I got killed trying to extract.

i went in dark zone after getting to WT5 and got it on the first landmark lmao getting kinda worries now that i have to extract it

Found a Pestilence from an Outcast chest in the normal zones.
Dz it drops so often. Invaded with targeted loot on lmg is also top notch to get it.

I had mine on a control point Boss.
i am lv30, 500 gear score, world tier 5, and i still havent unlocked the dark zone because i absolutely hate pvp in video games.
(if there was a pve only mode i would try the DZ)
i was teaming up with a friend of mine who has all exotics, and a pestilence dropped for him in the chest after we took a lv4 control point so he gave it to me.
it is so nice knowing i NEVER have to go in there!!!!

I farmed an LMG targeted loot mission on heroic today and got Chatterbox and no Pestilence...
I got mine from the loot room at a lvl 1 control point.
Am at Roosevelt now but just says marksman Raif not the exotic

So I saw someone saying you need to have already had one drop in the dz for it to drop in the open world, is it true ?

It only drops if you already had it or someone has it, that's how i got my merciless

@@kingmarco84 try lmg target loot missions and control points level 4. Mine dropped from a mission. Got it from a weapon crate in fact
@@kingmarco84 play with a player that has it do targeted loot area, mainly missions on heroic works too. I tried doing the merciless mission and never dropped helped a bloke out and i got it
I got my first Merciless at a True Sons territory control while running solo, so that's not exactly true, at least for Merciless
When the target at loot system first came out I got the holster from a black tusk blockade I also got the pestilence from a heroic bounty just yesterday I got the gloves from targeted loot glove area but I want to know how to get the merciless
Run the Jefferson Trade Center mission over and over on hard difficulty. Best with just two people, kill Coyote and it will drop eventually.

Tried for 2 days solid doing the targeted missions on heroic nothing. Today LMGs were a targeted area thought I would do a level 4 control point and it dropped from a NPC while doing the propaganda broadcast to level the control point.

From the comments I've been getting so far, no. Many agents have actually received their first drops in the open world outside the DZ.

Go to any DZ. I got 6 in my mailbox, and I've probably sold @ 20 of these. If you spend at least 2 hours in the DZ, you'll probably get @ 3 of them

Wednesday...its always on a Wednesday nowerdays. They took a break for new year. This week is about the games lore and story, in preparation for episode 3.
But state if the game is on a Wednesday, as in wednesday the 5th feb....as in today.
After christmas they moved it to wednesdays, but kept server downtime and updates to a tuesday. This way they can discuss any issues and such the day after patch.

Merciless random drop nemesis u have to do certain things to get it. Best bet is google it. It has to do with strongholds and such. Chatterbox same u have to get out of hyena chests. U have to find the parts. Has been forever that I got the nemesis and chatterbox so I forgot how exactly u get it step by step.

@@philly_made_me8530 but when it comes to chatterbox u can also find a really good named weapon that's the gear that has a yellow name instead a white one. That weapon is called emeline's guard it heals u when u get a kill. Combine that with the Zero Fs chest piece that gives u 100% armor right back when u lose ur armor u are basically an unstoppable force. Plus ad the knee pads that have the healing when in cover talent and u have urself an basically division 2 version of the Nomad build.
You can get Nemesis without getting all the parts. If you group up with someone that has it, it can drop for you. My friend got it while grouped up with someone that had it. He did a Looking For group post on Xbox Live. They farmed in the Marksman Rifle area of the map and sure enough, it eventually dropped. He now helps people farm them

Do you farm with people? Call for help and just let team mates know if they get it and don't need it, they can drop it for you.
I’ve been playing this game since day one. I’ve done every mission on every level. I’ve solo’d level 4 control points and heroic missions. I’ve run all the dark zones time and time again. I still can’t get this dam gun to drop for love or money. 🤬🤬🤬
Have to farm dz, or farm lmg areas/outcast areas with teammates who do have it.
