I was at this show. It was Mother's Day 1997 & we were watching a Christmas show. At 0:03 I'm sitting to the left of the CBC logo. I'm wearing a white shirt. My ex is on my left. I can clearly hear him laugh at 4:14 & 4:22. It was absolutely hilarious from start to finish. Even the comedian who was on between sketches was great. I still remember what Mr Pare wrote when he signed my ticket at the end of the show. "Potato". Simple yet so profound. Potato indeed Mr Pare. Potato indeed.
Fun to watch them do it live, but I guess it was too difficult to do closer to the original? And without "bulbous bouffant", it just doesn't feel right.
It's too nuanced for you, but it's about how expressive the guys are while not saying a word, their facial expressions and body language. It's very funny, especially if you loved the original
